The next morning, everyone continued their search for the albino moa. They mostly did it by looking throughout the national parks and sanctuaries in search of one. And of course, they were hungry for food too. Lincoln, Penny, Hilda, and Charlie sniffed around for prey. It was in good timing too as they then sniff an elk herd up ahead.
Said elk herd was large all consisting of males and females alike. They had just taken over a large meadow, due to them having bullied away the native birds from here. Especially the takahes, moa geese and moas themselves.
The 4 wolves decided to ambush the herd to take one of them down. However, it wasn't easy as this was a large herd they're dealing with and that there are no large land predators to eat the larger invasive species.
With that said, the herd was soon put on the run. Lincoln and his girlfriends were able to single one out and kill it. The wolves then feast on it, but shared with some of the others who were also hungry. That would be given the idea of controlling the invasive populations of New Zealand. If the right species can be found.
For now, they have breakfast before continuing on with their search.
