Chapter 1

                          Solana POV

The alarm clock goes off and I roll over in my bed then reach to turn my alarm clock on the nightstand off.

I sat up in my bed and stretch ugh I hate morning. I wish it was still the summer but today is the first day of school thank God it is my last year in highschool then off to college to probably be a doctor like my parents.

My parents are both well known famous traveling doctors and my summer break was so awesome because I traveled along with them to different states and countries it was so great. I saw different things and met different people.

Anyway it is Monday August 7,2023 and the first day of My Senior Year. I am kinda excited because this year I decided to do something different so I put red highlights in my hair. My hair is black with red highlights and I love it.

Shit as I walk in my bathroom I forgot to tell you who I am sorry. My name is Solana Jefferson and I am 17 year old dark skinned black girl.

I take off my oversized night shirt and jump in the shower. After 15 minutes I get out and wrapping my leopard print bath towel around my body then brush my teeth.

After I am done in the bathroom I walk back in my room. I walk over to my bedroom window and look across in Devon room to see if he was up. He was doing his morning work out and I love watching him because he looks so fucking hot doing them well actually just fucking hot in general.

I have had a crush on him like forever and even lost my virginity to him the summer before Sophomore year then He changed and I still don't understand why. He is very mean to me and sometimes bully me at school but my sexy boyfriend Tyler Warren comes to my rescue if Devany doesn't come first.

See Devon, Devany and I were best friends since probably before we were born because our parents are best friends too. Devon and Devany are twins and we were extremely close growing up well that was before Devon changed and I started dating Tyler. Devany and I are still best friends tho.

I am standing here in my window watching Devon work out. The sweat is just dripping off his face, his sexy muscles arms and yummy athletic body. I am getting wet just looking at him because I just want to lick the sweat off him. Fuck I need to stop because I have a boyfriend and he just as hot as Devon but Devon is hotter.

Before I could turn around Devon looked up and noticed me looking at him through my bedroom window. He got up from doing push ups and walked over to his bedroom window, looked at me one time up and down then closed his curtain. See he doesn't like me and I don't understand what I did to make him hate me so much but whatever.

I continue to get ready for school when I get massage from Tyler.

Tyler: good morning my beautiful love I can't wait to see you at school. I have missed you all summer. Love you babe😘
Me:aww babe I can't wait to see you too and I have missed to too my handsome Pooh bear. Love you too 😘

I really have missed him because I didn't get to see him all summer. I was  gone the whole summer with my parents. I can't wait to see him and my best friends too.

I get done getting ready for school. I am wearing my school uniform red shirt with black skirt with my black wedges. I grabbed my phone and my leopard print backpack then walked out of my room and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

I got in the kitchen where my parents were. My dad was sitting at the kitchen table eating breakfast and reading a newspaper while my mom was fixing my plate for me. I said "good morning mom and dad" then I went to sit down at the kitchen table by my dad.

My dad look up from his paper and said "good morning Solana how are you doing this morning" My mom put my plate in front of me and said "good morning sweetie how did you sleep?"

I said"good and I slept well too" then looked down at my plate that my mom put down in front of me and started eating. My mom made heart shaped pancakes with bacon and eggs.

My mom put the orange juice container on the table then sat down on the other side of my dad and started eating her breakfast too. My dad put down his newspaper and started eating also.

We eat in silence until my mom said to me "are you ready for yr first day of senior year?" I said "yes I am because since it is my last year in highschool I decided to try out for a spot on the cheerleading team. I have been practicing every day"

Devany and Todd are both on the cheerleading team and Ariana is on the basketball team so I am all alone during the girl basketball game so I decided this year I will at least try out for cheerleading team.

I hope I get a spot on the team but that blonde bimbo Tori Evans is the captain of the Cheerleading team and one of my enemies. We hadn't gotten along since Devany and I met her in Prek. Good thing she doesn't have the last say who gets on the cheerleading team because Coach Kelley does.

Anyway my mom said "aww sweetie don't worry you will get a spot on the team because cheerleading is in yr blood. I used to be a cheerleader too"

My dad said "a very hot cheerleader too" making my mom blush. These two smh. I get done getting and got up with my plate to go put it in the sink when my dad said to me "sit back down please we need to talk to you about something important" so i sat back down.

My mom and dad looked at each other then at me. My mom said to me "sweet we  need to tell you something so don't freak out please" now I am nervous.

My dad said "we got another job offer but we have to go to California" I said "o that is great when do we leave?" My parents just looked at each other again and my mom said to me "sweetie we are going and you are staying here because it is yr last year in highschool and we don't want you to miss it" Well that sucks because I wanted to go too but I understand.

When I was just about to ask where I was going to be staying and how long they will be gone. We hear a car horn being blown and I knew it was Devany. I always ride with her to school.

I look at my parents and said "that is Devany, I have to go so we won't be late for school" I got up and kiss & hugged both of my parents then grabbed my backpack about to walk out of the kitchen. My dad said "we wasn't done talking to you" I said "we can talk more at dinner tonight, bye love y'all smooches" then I ran out of the kitchen.

I walked to the front door and opened it to see Devany walked up to me fast then hugged me so tight. She pulled back and  said "bitch I have missed you all summer" I said "I have missed you too bestie" She said "I love your hair too" I said "thank I decided to change it since it is our last year in highsch.." I didnt get to finish what I was saying because someone kept blowing the car horn in the black four door truck behind us.

Devany turned around and said "Devon knock it off we are coming jeez asshole" then turned back around and looked at me.

She said "Before you get mad or something. My jeep is in the shop so we have to ride with Devon this morning. Please be o ok with it" while doing her puppy dog face. As much as I don't like being around Devon I know I don't have no choice ugh so I said "fine but you so owe" She said "yes and I know" then hugged me again while made Devon honk the horn again.

We pulled apart and Devany said "ugh we are coming asshole" then we walked to the black truck and got in. Devany got in the passenger seat and I got in the back seat behind Devany.

Devon said "bout fucking time" then sped off towards our highschool. Devany said "I told you that we were coming asshole" then they started arguing so I just turned and looked out the window. I hope this last year of highschool will be a great year for me.
