"SO, LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT." You started as you stood over Aomine, your fingers pinching the bridge of your nose in agony. "We're pretending to date in front of two people who are within our vicinity... and both of them are obsessed with you?" He nodded his head when you asked, merely wanting to be reassured.
It was almost as if it was a scene out of a novel, a yandere one at that, and sadly enough, you were the victims. Rika was standing in a nearby aisle, eyeing you, while the bitch in bio stood outside of the store, like she was Aomine's appointed bodyguard.
The big question was... who was she guarding him from? And knowing the answer to that question, you dreaded the day you'd have to leave this store. "Yeah, it sucks to have three women here who both adore me to shreds and stalk me." He made no sense as usual, basking in delusion, also as usual.
Therefore, it took time for you to register what he said, specifically mentioning three instead of two. But when you did, you sighed very loudly. "You're always so creative with your delusions." You said passive-aggressively, continuing with your point, "Look, this might be a scene from hell, as you're used to, but, on the bright side, we don't know anyone here. It will be very hard for us to fake any longer, if so."
Originally, you had said that out of relief. But, you quickly took that back as soon as Aomine's face cringed awkwardly, like he had something to say. "What?" You asked exasperatedly, jerking your neck to the side.
Let's just say you were pretty unlucky that day and leave it at that.
Because like a fucking jinx, the entirety of Touou entered the shop, leaving you two with your head in your hands. "Oh, hey Aomine and Y/n!" Imayoshi waved a chilling hand in greeting. You two forced a smile on, but it was clear you were uneasy. "We came by to visit your workplace, Aomine. Though, I have to be honest, we really didn't expect Y/n to be here. You know, since you hate each other's guts and all."
It didn't help your cause at all that everyone on the team laughed at the situation after that, acting as though the meeting between you and Aomine was a harbinger of the end of the world. And when Rika's head popped out, looking at you two with a surprised look on her face, you bit your fucking lip in anticipation. "What? But how can you guys be dating if you hate each other?" She asked inquisitively.
Well, it was safe to say you and Aomine were now officially fucked. "Come again?" Wakamatsu questioned Rika, suddenly acting like a British man finding out that his daughter had fucked his business rival or some shit. "Y/n, I swear to god, if this asshole's forcing you to do this, I'll actually beat him up for you."
Aomine rested his back against the chair, squinting his eyes and crossing his arms. "Yeah, catch me shivering in fear now." He mocked sarcastically as he laughed at his captain's sudden bravery. Wakamatsu's jaw clenched in response, "If that was your attempt to scare me, it was really fucking cute. You should have said that in front of your girlfriend so that someone could actually give a shit."
Noticing how Wakamatsu was fucking fuming and Aomine's eyes were practically shooting daggers at the former, you elbowed your ace, beckoning him to chill the fuck out. "No, no, everything's fine. No need to worry about us. We're just a normal couple." Sure you were. "Yes, I had to really settle. Yes, I'm way out of his league. Yes, he's way uglier than me. Yes, a dictator would have been more likable. But, let's just say... the fates have decided." Like it was out of your fucking hands.
For some reason, Aomine prepared no response. Rather, he was still indefinitely shooting glares at Wakamatsu.
As you annoyedly turned your head away from him, you realized the Touou team were staring at you two, shocked that you two were even an option to each other. After the stunt you had pulled, they'd genuinely expected you both to declare your leave to the mental hospital. "Are you... are you being held at gunpoint?" Sakurai asked, stepping in nervously.
