After school, February headed to the library to clean. She couldn't get Yoshida out of her head. Surprisingly, February has never been in love. Yoshida was just so cute and nice unlike the other boys that like her. She lightly pushed open the library door. There, he was dusting off shelves.
"Hey, I hope it's not too late." February looked away.
"Oh no, d-don't worry. I just started now..." He blushed.
He walked up to her and handed her a mop, his head down. Even though he was nervous around her just because she was a perf, February still thought he was adorable.
"So Yoshida... That's a different name." February said while sweeping the floor.
"Oh, um, yeah. My dad emigrated from Kyoto and my mom emigrated from Côté d'Ivoire. I speak French and Japanese. So I just have a Japanese name." Yoshida gave me a little speech on his heritage.
"That's really cool!" February smiled.
"Ugh, if you don't mind me asking, why're you being so nice to me?" Yoshida whispered.
"Well, why wouldn't I be nice to you?"
"Because you're a perf... Perfs are pretty much the guys that dominate the school. But they're never nice to people that aren't like them..." He sighed.
February dropped her broom and walked up to Yoshida until they were face to face.
"I'm nice to you because you're nice to me." February whispered.
"You're extremely pretty!" He whisper/ yelled.
February started laughing. Yoshida stared.
"Oh my gosh!" She said wiping a tear from her eye. "You look like a baby deer in headlights when you make that face!"
Yoshida stared at her longer. He started laughing too until they were both on the ground out of breath.
"Anyways, we should continue cleaning." Yoshida sighed.
"What's there to clean!? Everything here isn't even dirty! C'mon, I'll treat you to coffee." February nodded.
They walked out of the school together. February bought them tea and coffee. The two walked around the city together for a while.
"Sorry that I was so weird. I'm a bookworm officially, you know what I mean?" Yoshida apologized.
"Don't worry about it. It's all good." February assured.
"Hey, there's this great fondue place around the corner. Wanna get some?"
"Sounds great!" February grinned.
After they hung out for a while, it was getting dark.
"I'll walk you home if you want." Yoshida offered.
February jumped a little. He couldn't take her home since SHE DOESNT EVEN LIVE ON EARTH.
"Ah, um, just drop me off at the park! It's close to my home." She lied.
"Ok!" He nodded. "Race ya!"
He started running. Ugh he might be a nerd but he's too fast! February thought. February caught up with him but they were already there.
"This is the park you meant right?" Yoshida asked.
"Yeah. Thanks!" February thanked him.
"No problem. Bye!" They started going their separate ways.
"Oh, wait!" Yoshida yelled.
February turned around. Yoshida ran up and kissed her on the cheek.
"Th-thanks for today." He started to brighten up.
February sprang up and hugged him.
"Thank you too."
They finally started leaving. February watched Yoshida almost get hit by a car and he started flailing his arms around.
February laughed. She she fell face down on the ground.
"Ah, he's too cute." She mumbled.
