Inner Child Wound:

What is the root of the trauma?

Three of Pentacles: Indicates a lack of harmony or cooperation between them and their colleagues, or within their group dynamics. They may have felt that their work was/is undervalued or unappreciated. Can also signify a lack of motivation or commitment in their work. This is a reminder to evaluate the situation from a higher perspective and look for the lesson.

What is needed to get over this trauma?

               -        The Star: The challenges that they would normally see as exciting may instead make them feel as though they can’t overcome them. If this has something to do with love, they may have had issues with extreme self-criticism, struggled with having hope about romance, and lacked confidence. In their schooling/career, they could have lacked motivation and enthusiasm, and were, perhaps, pessimistic about their work/job/school. If this is in regards to finances, they may have suffered in despair when it came to financial situations. They are being asked to nurture their sense of hope and positive energy to help propel their actions with joy instead of fear. They need to remember that they hold within them all they need for their fulfillment - the only thing that they need is courage.

What is their first step to take?

Death: This is about change, but it suggests that they have been resisting it. They may be worried about letting go of the past, or they may not be sure about the changes they need to make in order to move forward. If this is involving love, they could be resisting change in their relationships by failing to change their negative emotional patterns. If has something to do with career/school, they have been repeating negative patterns at work/school by remaining in an unfulfilling job/career study, and/or lack of growth/expansion. If this has something to do with finances, they may have failed to adapt to financial loss by continuing unhealthy financial habits. While it is natural to feel afraid, they should trust that they are taking the right steps and move forward. Life moves on, so fighting the passing time will only leave them with regrets.

Unrequited Love with Spouses/Partners:

What is the root of the trauma?

Seven of Cups: (upright) Represents dreams, fantasies, and choices. They may be filled with creativity and excitement about potential projects or opportunities, which may lead to indecision. With that being said, they may tend to choose between lovers, so they’ll need to be cautious about romantic decisions (if they already aren’t). If this has something to do with careers/business partners, they may have many career options, so they need to make a choice and stick to it. If this has something to do with finances, they may have several financial choices.

What is needed to get over this trauma?

The Chariot: (reversed) The appearance of this card can help them realize that they have started too many projects at the same time and are now unable to resolve all conflicts at this time. In the love aspect, they may be having an obsession with finding love, and/or may be a bit forceful in love. If this is career related, they may lack ambition, and/or are too aggressive in their career goals. If this has something to do with finances, they may rush into or are hesitant about financial decisions. This can also be an indication of lack of control and direction over their life. They are at the mercy of opposing forces and obstacles and can’t seem to muster the strength to take over.
