"EMMY PLEASE TELL ME YOU SAW THE COMMENTS ON MY POST!" I screech as I run from my room to Emory's room in our apartment.

"Obviously you're not the only one interested Mads!" She replies immediately, "you should get her number from Nika and ask her on a date!"

"Em you're actually crazy. No way! Maybe she just meant it in a friendly way." I suggest, taking back my original thoughts as I'm hit with a sense of reality.

"Maddison. What "friend" adds you on Snapchat, sends you a picture of her abs, and saves your snap in chat, on top of calling you cute." Emory says to me, giving me a look that asks "are you stupid?"

   I just give her a frown back and cover my eyes with my hands. I barely know Paige, wouldn't it be super weird to ask her on a date when the most I know about her is her first and last name?

"This is really stressing me out." I finally let out, along with a deep breath.

"Listen girl you literally just met her last night. Give it time to grow." Emory says finally legitimately comforting me, and pulling me into a hug. "Now get ready you have class" she tells me.

I walk into Personality Study, one of my many classes with Nika, taking my headphones off and dropping my bag by Nika.

"Heyy girlie!" Nika says to me with a smirk, "So. How was your night after the game??" She asks, even though she already knows exactly what happened.

"Nika you know exactly what happened," I say glaring at her, "and you know exactly why my head hurts."

"Listen... the team is going out for lunch and I think you should come with! Actually have a convo with Paige. Trust me she was freaking out last night too." She says.

"Ughhh okay," I say throwing my head back, "Nika I swear to god if you're setting me up for failure I will kill you."

"Babe- you and Paige are already so in sync with your emotions I don't even wanna hear it." Nika claims.

"Let me just text Em so she doesn't freak out that I didn't come home from class" I tell her.

"Let's go I guess" I say still unsure.

By the time we get to the restaurant the team had decided on, all the other girls were already there. Nika briefly left me to go see Aubrey and Ice, while I made my way over to KK and Paige.

"Hey boo!" KK greets me, in her usual, energetic tone, "So like I actually love you so you will be seated next to me today! Thank youuu" she adds, making me laugh.

   Conveniently, or probably set up by Nika and KK, I'm sandwiched next to Paige. She looks up at me, giving me a slight wave and a smile. I try my best not to melt on the spot.

Hii! I'm sorry if this book feels like it's going fast! I need to get a good intro but also later need to build a conflict but I've never once finished writing a book 🤪. (I am 100% hoping to do so this time!)
