A/N: So, uh, somewhere during the production of this chapter I really just decided to stop giving a fuck about repression and turned the latter half into a lemon/smut. Normally, I would feel very guilty for writing anything sexual because of the mf demon and angel on my shoulder... but I'm not. I am unapologetic.

Obvious warnings for, you know, sex. If you don't wanna see that, don't read this chapter. Literally this chapter is just all mature rated triggers and stuff, so, yeah, you have been warned.

Vwoom!

Just as the creature's blade bore down upon you, a sudden flash of light and a thwomp of energy came from above. The monster stilled, a throaty, inhuman wheeze leaving its tired lungs. You dared to open an eye to investigate, met by the sight of the thing's sword slipping from hand and clattering to the stone beside you.

"Woah..." You whispered as you realised what had happened. From the device in your hand, a charged beam of particles had ignited into quite literally a lightsaber. The blade pierced up into the creature's chest and seared a hole straight through.

You awkwardly got to your feet, grimacing a little as you slashed the weapon out through the creature's side, spinning and cutting off its head in one fluid motion. You paused as the thing's face and body clattered to the ground in separate places, baffled by what you had just done.

"Am I tripping again? Because this looks and sounds frighteningly similar to a lightsaber." You murmured but wouldn't deny there was a spark of excitement at the sight of a literal laser sword in your hand. You spun it around your wrist and smirked, pressing the button you had accidentally clicked to de-ignite the weapon.

You turned the device in hand, reading a name crudely etched into the side. "LZ Answerer. Light Zaber?" You hummed.

Many more growls came from around you, setting off your fight or flight in seconds. You ignited your weapon again and spun around, lifting up the blade to illuminate the darkness around you. Two, three, four, five more of the creatures came dragging their bodies towards you, long blades in hand just like the first.

You looked between them, aware you were surrounded. As much as you wanted to know what the things were, you cared a little more about living first. You jumped forward an inch, jabbing your weapon towards the first enemy; they tried to dodge but you still nicked their arm.

With a smirk, you whipped around to block a swing coming for your shoulder, peering into the shadowy hood of the creature. "I am a man who walks alone~ And when I'm walking a dark road~ At night or strolling through the park~" You sang softly as you bounced side to side, knocking away sword strikes and managing to get small injuries off on the enemies.

Guns were never your thing. Fighting in general was something you hated. When you joined your crew, there happened to be a couple other members. One of those was Kieran. Kieran didn't use guns, he didn't use knives. He used a shortsword he had stolen from a rogue lycan. He taught you a thing or two about the basics of swordsmanship, even if you thought it was stupid back then.

"Then he got cocky and had to go the five on one... Oh, shit, I'm doing that now. Oh, man, I'm so gonna die." You thought with over-exaggerated anguish. You just kept fighting and singing to yourself. "Watching horror films the night before~ Debating witches and folklore!" You stabbed through the head of the creature behind you, flinging its body into the next and decapitating that one.

"The unknown troubles on your mind~ Maybe your mind is playing tricks~ You sense, and suddenly eyes fix~ On dancing shadows from behind~" You ducked under a slash, sidestepping another that just barely caught your right leg. With one swing of your arm, you cut down two more of the enemies, snapping around and flinging the weapon to your side to finally embed it inside the throat of the final being.
