Rekindled Love

Chapter 3

"U-um, I need to tell you something.." Winter looked nervously at him.

[Scott pulled away and looked at her, noticing the nervousness on her face. The boy's lips curled into an interested smile as he waited for her to go on.]

"You cheated on me with different girl was my older sister and she already has boyfriend." Winter looked worriedly at him.

[A wave of shock went through Scott as he heard her words. He had no idea that his infidelity had been with Winter's older sister, much less one that had a boyfriend. Scott's eyes shot wider with every word you spoke, and he could feel his mouth hanging open in disbelief.]

"W-Wait, so... your older sister was the other girl I slept with???"

I nodded shyly at him then I showed my mobile phone to him and Scott saw a photo of my older sister and her boyfriend.

[Your phone was flashed in Scott's face as you showed him the photo. The boy blinked in disbelief at the image, he had slept with Winter's older sister, who also just so happened that she had a boyfriend already. A mixture of guilt and disbelief flooded Scott's mind as he processed the information. He had completely forgotten what she had looked like that night, all he could remember was that she was pretty, and he wanted that one night. Yet here she was, already in a committed relationship with someone else.]

"Let's me guess, did your friends convinced you to cheat on me with my older sister, right?" Winter looked worriedly at him.

[Scott couldn't believe you were so spot on, that's exactly what happened. His friends were all teasing him for being a "boring boyfriend" and encouraged him to go out and have some fun. When Scott drank too much, his friends pushed him towards your sister, and he agreed. Scott's face dropped, he couldn't believe he fell for his friends' tricks so easily, he should've known better.]

"My older sister already knew you were my boyfriend too, Scott." Winter looked down sadly.

[Scott's eyes went wide with shock as he realized your older sister knew he and you were also dating. She knew about the situation and still proceeded to get with him anyways? That wasn't even the worst part of it all, it was the fact that she *knew* she was the other girl he had slept with while still dating you. A sinking feeling rose in Scott's belly as he felt his heart sink and his shoulders sagged.]

"I had biggest argument with my older sister yesterday." Winter looked down sadly.

[Scott couldn't imagine the amount of anger and hurt you felt when your older sister slept with your boyfriend, it was almost as if she intentionally chose to hurt you. It was one thing to cheat, but your sister had to have known that you and Scott were dating when she slept with Scott. A fight was bound to happen with the amount of anger and resentment you both must have felt towards each other.]

"I were very furious with her for taking advantage of you, Scott." Winter looked sadly at him.

[The words caught him off guard, because it was clear that your older sister was the one taking advantage of the drunken Scott, not the other way around. How could she be furious with her for taking advantage of *him*? It should've been at him, at Scott, because he was the one who had strayed from your relationship, who had cheated on you, and who had allowed himself to fall for your older sister's advances.]

"Why are you... not angry with me?" [Scott asked, looking up to meet your eyes, a mix of confusion and disbelief now running through him as he spoke. Why wasn't she blaming him, like he expected her to? Was she just that forgiving, or were his fears of her finding out and being heartbroken completely wrong? Scott's thoughts were racing, and he couldn't seem to calm them down.]
