The office air crackled with tension, each heartbeat echoing the unspoken battle between Haider and Jahangir. Saadia, caught in the crossfire, felt her world unraveling. The room's mahogany walls seemed to close in, suffocating her as she stood there.

Haider's jaw clenched, his eyes never leaving Jahangir's face. The old man's voice sliced through the silence, a blade of accusation. "Mr. Khan... or should I say, Haider," he began, emphasizing each syllable. Saadia's confusion swirled like a tempest within her.

Haider's response was measured, his voice steady. "Why did you call me?" he asked, his gaze unwavering. Jahangir leaned forward, fingers interlocked, as if trying to contain the storm brewing inside him. "The product is ready," he said, his tone icy, "and our partnership has served its purpose. But these rumors about my daughter...don't you think it's un-justified?" His eyes bore into Haider's, demanding compliance.

No...no-no that matter has been dealt with,

Saadia's silent pleas were lost in the void, her embarrassment deepening. The memory of his reaction lingered, haunting her thoughts.
"So, it's bothering you that much?" His words reverberated in her mind, a relentless echo that refused to fade.

Did I overreact at that time?

Saadia's gaze casted downwards, her shame as vivid as her flushed face.

Jahangir's words hung heavy in the air, and she felt like a fragile porcelain doll, about to shatter. Haider's next words surprised her. "What's justified and what's not isn't for us to decide," he said firmly. "Shouldn't it be her choice who she meets?"

Jahangir erupted, his sudden rise sending the chair clattering against the floor. The abrupt sound jolted Saadia, but Haider remained stoic. Jahangir approached, his figure imposing, and seized Saadia's arm, drawing her near. "BUT I CARE!" he thundered. His grip on Saadia's arm tightened—possessive. "Her fiancé's investments are tied to my company. Any scandal, and I bear the consequences." he proclaimed, his grip constricting.

Haider's eyes narrowed. Jahangir's control was suffocating, and Haider wouldn't stand for it. "So, it's the company you're worried about, not your daughter's well-being?" he shot back. The room held its breath. Saadia's tear-filled eyes darted between them, pleading for an escape.

Haider's next move was unexpected. He gently pulled Saadia toward him, releasing her from her father's grip. "Mr. Ashraf...or I should say Jahangir" his voice low, "you don't tell me what to do—nobody does."
