"You look absolutely beautiful." Your eye locks with Jungkook, who's got your hands in his, resting flat on his chest. He's wearing a tailored suit you designed just for him. For his birthday.
"Y/n, you are sometimes..." he's failing to form words. Got his brows slightly together, creating a small furrow. He sighs deeply, looking overwhelmed.
Your eyes soften as you give him a gentle, reassuring smile. Reach out to touch his arm and get on your toes to hug him until Jungkook bursts into a wide smile and doesn't hesitate a second to lift you by his arm. It takes you by surprise, "Yo—your suit."
He gives no care and rests his hands under your knees. Arm lifting you casually, as if it was a daily thing for him.
"You're ridiculous." Flush covers your face, and he shows no shame. Smiles. "Only for you."
You playfully roll your eyes, but a slight smile forms at the corner of your mouth. "Dork."
"You love it," he teases and you pout, pull on his cheeks and he gets all tickled.
"Watch it," he warns, his eyes mischievous, "I might just drop you." You narrow your eyes playfully. "You wouldn't dare."
He's hiding his smile as he casually walks around the room with you in his arms. "You're lucky I'm strong." He's picking a few stuffs from the dressing table effortlessly, supporting your weight.
"Or maybe I'm just light as a feather." You comment, wrapping your arms close and giving him a soft kiss on his cheeks.
Jungkook's eyes widen in surprise before a soft smile spreads across his face. "Well, aren't you full of surprises?" his tone teasing and growing softer.
Giving him a small shrug, you hide the big smile breaking on you. He was too good to be true.
"You wanna go out like this or do you plan on ditching everyone?" He is walking around the room. "I'm happy complying with both the choices." Hearing it, you immediately drop off from his arms and turn away shyly, taken off guard by his comment.
He's smiling and you clear your throat, trying to hide your flushed face. "Obviously we should leave. It's your birthday, after all."
This time Jungkook lets it go, "Alright." He gives in and you turn to see him. His hand extends towards you, "Shall we?" He asks eye in eye, a soft smile plastered on his face.
In this very moment, you understand that there is no longer any need for secrecy and that you are now an official couple, freed from any constraints. Oh, you feel like crying.
