"All my fairy-tale thoughts are awakened by him."
_Birds of A Feather - Billie Eilish
"Um—hi–I know it's super cringe but like—can I get your mail haha?" A woman is requesting for Jungkook email. She's got a pen and paper clutching in her fingers. Nervous and yet shy smile on her face.
You're sitting right opposite him in a convenience store. It's 2 am. You two are on the journey home in the car. Came here to have something to eat while on the way.
The girl looks in her mid-twenties. Little glitter sparkles on her eyes. She's wearing a cute skirt on a white camisole. Her hair roughly tied in a bun. The lipstick almost wiped. She's cute, you think. There are a few friends of her from behind who encourage her to approach Jungkook. Very excited and rooting for her. You assume they were all here after the club that's pretty close by from the convenience store.
Looking at the girl you can say it must've been her first time and she's doing something really out of the ordinary tonight. A night she can look back on someday and smile about it.
But she unfortunately chose the wrong man.
Jungkook clasps his hands together. He's in a formal black shirt fitting him perfectly on his strong shoulders and thin waist. Freshly bathed. Hair neatly pulled back. Rich fragrance giving off him. Oh, if you were the girl you'd cry about being rejected by him.
"I'm sorry," he lifts his head towards you, "I have a girlfriend."
Her eyes go all wide. Immediately she glances back at her friends in shock for assuming he was single, when it was obvious he was with a girl. They gasp and timidly run out of the convenience store as the girl cups her mouth. Bows twice and thrice, apologizes to you and Jungkook and dashes outside with a shriek.
You burst into laughter as soon as she leaves and Jungkook meets your eyes, smiles, "What makes you laugh?" He takes his last bite and you pull your chair close to him and bend forward. His eyes fall on your lips and a tension creates between you two. You grin so wide that he can't stop smiling either.
"She was cute." You say.
"You're cute." He debates, his voice low and sincere. You burst into a soft laugh, and he rests his chin on his hands, his eyes never leaving yours. "What's so funny?" He asks, his gaze warm.
You shake your head and smile. "Nothing, it's just surreal. Sitting with such a handsome man, who's literally so literally out of everyone's league. It is crazy how I am your—"
Before you can finish, he cuts you off with a sudden, breathtaking kiss. The world pauses as his lips meet yours, soft yet urgently. He cradles the back of your neck, pulling you closer, his fingers threading through your hair. His other hand slides around your waist, drawing you in until there's no space left between you.
