Chapter 23
Rachel's pov
Things have gotten pretty awkward between Wilson and I so far. We barely talk and we barely make eye contact when we do. Along with this, whenever Sophia sees me and Wilson near each other, she gives him hugs and saying 'hi' to him while looking at me to see if I'm watching them which, most of the time I was to be honest. It killed me whenever he would hug her back but it looks like he doesn't like it whenever she does that. She just wants to make me jealous.
It was last period and I was just waiting till it ended. Once it did, I grabbed my bag and violin and headed to the phone truck. Since I had Chambers After school, I could bring my phone inside the school. I got to the music room and saw Jen, Brige, Mona and Amy talking amongst themselves. Even though Jen is in Band, she still gets to come to chambers. I put my things down and started to take out my violin as usual.
"So, how are things with you and Wilson going?" Ramona asked.
"Ehh. We barely talk or look at each other and when we do, its only for like a split second. I really hurt his feelings" I answered not proud of myself.
"Don't worry Rach, things will get better. I promise" Jen said.
"Thanks Jen. But how are things going with you guys and the boys?" I asked.
I couldn't believe the things I heard! Amy and Liam were texting daily, Ramona and Harry were going to Central Park on Thursday, Jen and Louis were going out on Friday to the movies and Brige and Niall were going to a pub somewhere near 34th street on Saturday! I would never think that my friends and the rest of One Direction would get to be so close! Soon enough my music teacher came to the front of the room and made us tune and such.
After chambers, the girls and I were planning to grab some pizza since we were hungry! I couldn't believe my eyes once I got outside. Zayn was leaning against his car he rented while he was here in NY. He had a smirk on his face once he saw me. I smiled widely.
"Oh shit, Zayn wants to get it in with Rach!" Brige said jokingly.
"Haha shut up! I guess I will see you guys tomorrow!" I said and hugged them goodbye.
I walked up to Zayn with a big smile. Thankfully no one was here to see us so once we were close enough, I gave him a big kiss. He smiled into the kiss and we soon broke off.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I came here to pick up my girlfriend from school" He replied
"How did you know I come out at this time?"
"Well you told me before how you go to after school every Wednesday" He said in a 'duh' voice'
"Oh right."
"Haha now get in, I have a surprise for you!"
"What is it?" I asked
"You'll see."
So I got in the car and we soon drove off. As he was driving, I was wondering why were going out so much. I mean, its not like hes leaving in a few days, hes staying for like 2 more weeks! Or atleast that's what I heard on the internet.
"How come were having so many dates together?" I questioned
He didn't answer so I asked him again.
"Zayn? How come were going out so much?"
He sighed and looked at me since we stopped at a red light.
"I didn't want to tell you now but...the boys and I are leaving on Monday. It sucks I know but we have to get going to London pretty soon since were doing a European tour AND a South American tour. They each are gonna last about 2 months. So I wont be able to see you for about 4 months, that's why I want to spend as much time as possible with you now"
I started to tear. I cant believe I wont be able to see Zayn for 4 months!!! I know we've only met but I feel like I'm slowly falling in love with him and knowing were going to spend that much time apart breaks my heart.
"Don't cry please. I wish I can change things, I really do! But for now lets enjoy the time we have right now, together"
Once he said that, a car honked his horn, signaling for Zayn to go since the light turned green. I wiped my tears away and looked at his hand resting on the arm rest. I grabbed his hand and brought it up to my lips to kiss it. He quickly looked at me and gave me a calming smile. I'm surely gonna miss the times were spending right now with each other.
"Were hear" He said as he parked the car.
We were by a dock, the only thing in front of us was the water and the sun.
"This is beautiful Zayn" I told him admiring the scenery in front of me.
"Just like you" He told me
I blushed and hugged him while giving him another kiss.
"Oh, I almost forgot!"
He rushed to the car and opened the trunk. He then pulled out two canvas' and paint. I was shocked! Were we going to paint this scenery? He walked over to me with a big smile.
"Were gonna paint!" He told me
"Omg this is perfect! The sun will be setting soon!"
"Yup, which is why I decided to do this today since you had to come out later than usual"
He was smart, not even I thought of that! Once we saw the sun start to go down, we began to paint. Once in a while we would give each other silly looks so we could possibly mess up on our paintings. But most of the time we would be in silence so we could concentrate. In the end, I didn't do so bad as I thought I would have. Ive always liked to draw, I get lost into the drawing whenever I did draw. But Zayn's looked so professional.
"Wow, yours looks amazing!" I told him
"Thank you love, yours is beautiful as well!"
"Thanks babe!"
"Ok, now you keep mine while I keep yours. I will bring it on tour with me where ever I go so when I see it, it will remind me of you and when ever you see mine, it will remind you of me" He said while holding my hand.
"I will hang it by bed so every morning I will think of you and see what an amazing artist you are" I said
He smiled and kissed my cheek, we then packed everything up since it was getting dark. He drove me home and kissed me good night. Once I got to my room, I looked at my phone to see that a few people texted me. I saw one text that didn't have a name, it was a random number. I tapped on it to see what he/she wrote.
"He's mine"
