Chapter 18
Brigitte's pov
Today was Saturday, meaning Roy wanted to hang out and catch up on things. He still hasn't text me where and when he would like to meet up, but I wont get stressed over that. I looked at the time to see that it was 9:20, so I got up from my bed, brushed my teeth and headed to the kitchen.
"Morning Brige, where were you last night? You came home late" My mom told me.
"I was hanging out with my friends" I replied.
"Oh. I need you to do something for me"
"Sure what is it?"
"I need you to open up the store and work there for the rest of the day because your dad and I need to do our taxes."
Ughh!!! This is not fair! My parents own a discount store not too far from our house and I work there from time to time. It gets boring and plus I was supposed to meet up with Roy today.
"But mom, I was gonna be with my old friend today!"
"You already spend time with your friends yesterday, you can see your old friend tomorrow."
"But mom..."
"But nothing, now eat breakfast and go get ready."
I ate and then took a long shower. I got dressed, wearing jean Capri's with a t-shirt and put on a bit of eye shadow with eye liner. I went outside and headed towards my parents store. I opened it up and stood behind the counter, waiting for other employees to come and waiting till this day was over.
After 30 minutes of standing behind the counter, I got a text. It was from Roy!
"Hey Brige, wanna have lunch at Dallas BBQ in Times Square around 1?"
Damn it! I loved that place! I used to go there with my friends after school whenever we were really hungry. I'm gonna miss out for sure!
"Sorry I cant, my parents needed me to work today"
"They still own that store?"
"Yeah"
"Well perfect, i'll be over there around 12! I will bring lunch!"
"Haha alright!"
I guess we will be hanging out today!
Roy was sweet, he always has been from the moment I met him. He would be a flirt at times but I guess that was just one of his special traits. We started off as friends, talking through facebook but barely saying a word to one another in school. I remember how I would drool over him cause he was just so hot! I found out through my friend Jessica that he liked me, but Robert told me that he liked me first. Im glad that we can catch up now. Who knows, maybe my feelings will come back for Roy...
It was 12:30 and Roy wasn't here. I was beginning to think that he didn't want to show up, he probably has better things to do anyway.
"Bye ma'am, come again" I said as I handed a women the things she brought in a bag.
"Hello sir..."
I stopped once I saw who the next 'costomer' was.
"R..Robert?"
"Oh, hey Brigitte. I forgot that you worked here" Robert said quietly.
"Yeah I do, sometimes."
"Cool..."
