It was a rare morning indeed. A blue sky without a single cloud, however a light breeze could be felt that chilled you to the bone. After they saw Isidora's memories, Lana couldn't stop thinking about the the feeling of being betrayed from someone you trusted. It was a recurring thought. What Isidora felt the moment San Bakar cast the killing curse against her.
She woke up particularly early, she decided that that day she wanted to be alone that particular morning. She lyed her eyes on the basin next to her bed, it was quite odd, cause for the first time in days... She didn't expected any kind of message from Sebastian. Lana went straight to the library, to the table furthest from the doors that were three down a flight of stairs crossing the central hall. Among the dozens of pages of the walls of books that she had around her, she wanted to forget everything that awaited her... The first trial of the Tournament would be held in the evening. There was nothing that scared her more, since she didn't know what she could face. She researched for hours, what kind of fantastic beasts could fly but dragons. She didn't even find a single creature which could be dangerous or a threat. The paranoia show up. It wouldn't be a simple broom race, Lana had a suspicion that something more was about to happen. Lana ran her fingers over the parchment, searching for some answers to her incessant doubts.
A mane of red hair peeked out a few tables ahead, Garreth was coming at her. She hung her head vainly, since he had already seen her a while ago. Not only had he seen her sit up, surround herself with blocks of books, and bury herself in a thousand pages. He also saw her worried about something and burned in frustration. It was quite strange, since Garreth was still uspset by what happen in the Mine. How Lana choosed Ominis over him, again. Certainly, he was at a crossroads. But he made his way towards her, head down and lips pursed. Extremely nervous, almost on the verge of a panic attack. His heart seemed to be pounding out of his chest. Somehow, he couldn't control himself around her.
-Hello there...- he cleared his throat loudly.
-Hey...- she looked up- Garreth...-.
-Are you worried about something in particular?-.
-Is it so obvious?- Lana tried to make light of the matter by showing a small smile.
-Pardon me, I don't mean to bother you but I'm not able to be away from you... - He sat down in front of her, still unable to be face to face. He thought that if he let their eyes meet, he wouldn't be able to hold back his tears- maybe Gaunt is right and I'm just an airhead-.
-You aren't, I'm so...- Lana was having a hard time finding the courage. "You don't need to keep the distance", she thought. She wished those words to come out, but she remained silent. Deep down, an erratic impulse was growing inside her chest.
-You don't have to say a word- he placed over the table, playing with his hands.
-I do! I don't know what to do with you Garreth, I'm not playing with you...I SWEAR!- she claimed all of the sudden.
-Let it be, it doesn't matter- Garreth smiled and just for a second it seemed as if he had forgotten everything. He turned up his gaze and looked at her tenderly- you shouldn't be hard with yourself, you had enough the past two years-.
