(Hello everyone! May I have your attention? So, just a heads up, Chapter 21 will be the last story chapter of this book. However, I am going to put out an "Extras" chapter where I will discuss ideas that I had while writing the book, posting some art that was created, and some fun things as well! The last chapter will also be the final chapter that has acts. Thanks for your attention, on with the book.)

Cross and Sera stood outside the courtroom doors as Cross couldn't help but feel nervous. On the other side of the door was Emily, Pentious, Adam, Lute, the court, and Michael. Sera would soon join as well, but couldn't help but feel the same way as Cross.

"Cross, do you remember when we first met? How shocked me and Emily were when you called us, 'My fair ladies'? I had never expected someone to have such a gentleman's attitude, outside of the High One, of course." Sera snickered at her words as it even got Cross to chuckle warmly as well.

"Yes, I remember it quite well," But then Cross frowned. "Sera, what is the High One like?" The question earned a surprised glance from Sera as she smiled warmly.

"Everything you could ever imagine. When I first met him, he told me my job was simple, keep Heaven safe and lively. His smile was warm, his voice was deep and even high at times, but most importantly, he always knew what burdened our hearts. He definitely deserves the title of, 'Father'." Sera's eyes sparkled when describing the High One, and it was obvious to Cross that she looked up to him the same way Cross looked up to Jacques. Admiration and loyalty.

"Do you think he see's these trials we have, and decides not to intervene because we need to solve our own problems? Learn from our mistakes and continue forward with that knowledge?" Cross asked.

"That's a fair assessment. Maybe if you ever see him, you should ask him. But for now, Emily needs you."

"Wait, what about you?" Cross was caught off guard by Sera's words.

"As head Seraphim, I must remain neutral in this case as Michael will most likely be the one trying to prosecute Emily and Pentious. If I pick sides, then I could lose my standing, and then everything that me and Emily have worked on would crumble."

"I see...then I will try my hardest." Cross said as he bowed to Sera and went to open the doors.

"Peter," Cross turned to Sera as she did a polite curtsy to him, before standing upright again.

"I think I speak for everyone in Heaven, including myself when I say, thank you for all that you have done." Sera smiled softly at him before disappearing in a flash of light. Cross couldn't help but smile but quickly tuned back into the situation at hand as he pushed on the courtroom doors and entered. All eyes turned to him as he stepped into the room, the lights illuminating his eye patch and figure as he strode across the floor. There, wearing her uniform, was Emily, and next to her was Pentious. Both had a look of worry on their faces before spotting Cross, in which Emily quickly ran to him.

"You're okay! I thought Michael said you wouldn't be attending the trial!?" Emily said hugging Cross tightly.

"It'ssss fantassstic to ssssee you, Crosss! But...why are you here?" Pentious hissed as he slithered over to the angel.

"That's exactly my question." A booming voice sounded out. Cross, while hugging Emily, looked up to see Michael staring down at him, dressed in his normal attire yet again. "You should be healing, my student."

"I am fully healed, and no longer your student, Michael. I would prefer it if you called me Cross, like everyone else." Cross asked, making Michael raise an eyebrow at him.

"Fine, Cross. What is your reason for being here? Surely, you are not going to defend Emily and Pentious? The traitors and reason behind this trial today?" Michael boomed.
