Annabelle's POV

I watched as Myra and Sarah walked over.

"Oh look, it's the crash twins." Myra said.

"Now you listen here." Liam said pointing at her.

"Liam, it's not worth it." Lily said pulling him back.

"Yeah listen to your little sister. Oh, hey Diego." She said flirting with him and touching his shoulder.

"Back off Myra," he said.

"What, I thought you liked me?"

"I'd rather date Annabelle than you."

"Who?"

"Annabelle Leclerc." he said pointing to me.

"Ugh..." I said surprised.

"What, you think you're better than us because your last names Leclerc. I bet you're lying."

"One, I never said that. And two, maybe you should think twice before installing me, you might embrace yourself."

"What, you think you can beat me?" she scoffed.

"I mean her dad is one of the most known f1 drivers." Sarah said.

"So is mine!"

"Yeah but mine has won 5 races and yours has only won 1 and my dad has 33 podiums while yours only has 16." I said.

Don't get me wrong, I love Lando, he's super nice, but there ain't no way in h*ll that I am about to let this b*tch win this battle.

"Listen hear you little..."

"Oh would you look at the time, it's time for us to go." Diego said.

"Fine see you later chienne," I said. (French: b*tch)

"See you on the track slet." (Dutch: sl*t)

Once we got back inside we stopped in the hallway.

"You know she called you a...." Lily started.

"Yes I know she called me a sl*t in Dutch!" I said.

"Okay, let's just calm down." Diego said.

"You know Dutch?" Liam asked.

"Ik spreek het niet vloeiend, maar ik weet het wel een beetje." (Dutch: I'm not fluent, but I know a little.)

"dat lijkt mij veel meer dan een beetje," he replied. (Dutch: that sounds way more than just a little to me.)

"Echt niet Annabelle, jij kent Nederlands!" Lily squealed. (Dutch: No way Annabelle, you know dutch!)

"I feel so left out." Diego said causing us to laugh.

"It's fine, we can speak Spanish in front of them and make them feel left out." I replied patting his shoulder.

"How did you learn so many languages?" Lily asked.

"Well my dad taught me French, English, and Italian when I was 1st learning to speak and everything else was either taught by duolingo or the Sainz."

"Can you teach me something in French?" Liam asked.

"Sure, j'ai une petite saucisse." (French: I have a small wiener.)

"J'ai une petite saucisse?" he repeated.

"Yep!"

"What does that mean."

"I'm the best racer." I said lying.

"Wait, but doesn't petite mean small?" Lily asked.

I turned a looked at her giving her the shut up look and said, "Petite has different meanings."

"Ohhhhhh, okay." she said catching on.

"So, what do y'all want to do?" Diego asked.

"Well I have to head back to the other track because dad has a race then we have a conference to tell everyone I'm his daughter."

"People don't joke about paparazzi." Lily said warning me.

"I know, when I was younger I would have to wait in our room with someone and watch from a window, so no one would see me."

"Oh my G*D!!!!!!!! You're the person Leclerc always gives a thumbs up to before racing!" Lily said fan girling again.

"Yeah, I would always panic before a race, so he would give me a thumbs up to tell me he was okay before and after each race and still does."

"That's so cute, but why did you have to stay a secret, I mean everyone knows about us and our parents?"

"Yeah, why does your dad not want the public to know about you?" Liam asked.

"He's just a bit overprotective," I said which wasn't a lie, it just wasn't the whole truth.

"Oh, Liam, we have to go. Dad's waiting for us." Lily said.

"Tell him I said hi, see y'all later." I said before they left.

"I guess I'll go meet up with my mom." Diego said.

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow, because I'm going to be busy."

"Hey, I'm sure the fans will love you." he said reassuring me.

"Thanks," I said before leaving.

Charles's POV

"Charles chill, it's just like any other race," One of the mechanics said as I walked back and forth.

"That's not what he's worried about," Carlos said, "After the race, him and Annabelle have a conference to have her go public."

"Ohhhhhh, I'm sure it'll be fine," he replied.

"But what if they don't like her." I said.

"Charles, it's fine, plus who cares what fans think." Carlos said.

Fred our team manager walked in.

"Who's ready to race! What's going on with Leclerc, he looks like he's about to pass out?" he said.

"He's worried about the conference after the race." Carlos said.

"Leclerc you need to stop worrying about that, mainly because you need to focus on the race and if your daughter knows you're flipping out, then she'll panic." he said.

"You're right, I need to get my act together before everything."

"Hé papa, prêt pour ta course ?" Annabelle said as she walked in and hugged me. (French: Hey dad, ready for your race?)

"Aussi prêt que je le serai jamais." I replied. (French: As ready as I'll ever be.)

"Hey Carlos, Mr. Vasseur." she said.

"Hey Annabelle." They both replied.

"I should head up to the room." she said looking at the clock on the wall.

"Yeah, there's a change of clothes for the conference up there as well." I replied.

"Great thanks dad."

"Wait, why do you call him dad when speaking English, but Papa in French?" Carlos asked.

"It's just my thing," she replied.

"I'm also used to it and reply to pretty much anything she calls me."

"You guy's are weird, but cute," Carlos said.

"Okay, go." I said as I pushed her towards the door.

"Alright, alright, I'm going," she said.

Few minutes later

As I got onto the track, right before the race I made sure to look up at the window and give Annabelle a thumbs up. She smiled and waved.
