We open to pitch blackness, but voices were ringing out in the air.

"Want to know a secret? Coexistence is messy. Thus, my love for education, for my X-Men. Their heroism teaches a lesson we mustn't forget. That the universe is very old, and all of us, very young. Born of ancient stardust, and all children of the atom."

"I didn't need a teammate... I needed my father."

"We are not gods, Magnus."

"Gods abandon those who believe in them. Mutants do not."

"Mutant detected"

"I just lost my f*cking brother all right?! My brother!!"

"To me... my X-Men."

Jacob gasps jumping up from his bed with his claws out. Looking around his surroundings he sees his room and sighs putting his head pack on his pillow but stared at his ceiling.

Jacob: What the hell did I just see? And who's Magnus...?

The scene fades to the next day where we now see Evan talking to his teacher.

Teacher: Admittedly, I asked for a report on the Star Wars Program. However, I wasn't talking about the movie.

Evan: But I like movies.

Teacher: Which is fine... but I was expecting a report on the national space defense system.

Evan: Yeah, I sort of figured that out by my grade. Hey, look, man, is there anything I can do to make this up? Extra credit? Anything?

Teacher: Perhaps there is something.

The teacher reaches into his desk pulling out a camera handing it to Evan.

Evan: A digi-cam! How cool is that?

Teacher: You know, Evan, current events can mean a lot of things.including things that are important to people your age. They don't have to be huge, just have to mean a lot to you. How would you like to do a film report on that?

Evan: You mean it?

Teacher: You got it. Here. Project is due at the end of the week. I suggest you get started.

Evan: I'm on it. And thanks for the second chance, Mr. V.

Evan was now outside the classroom testing the camera out.

Evan: Cool! Instant rewind, digital zoom. Hey, I can even see the institute through this thing.

He then zooms in on Logan pulling up to the mansion gate on his bike. Evan zooms in even more on Logan taking his helmet off.

Evan: Hello, Logan.

Kurt: Evan!

Kurt is now shown upside down freaking out.

Evan: Man, don't scare me like that. I almost toothpicked you.

Kurt: Image inducer's on the fritz. I gotta get back to the institute before someone sees me. And that means missing our shop class.

Evan: No prob. I'll catch it on tape for you.

Kurt: Cool! Then I'm out of here.

Kurt ports out of frame but not to their own knowledge the two mutants were being stalked by Sabertooth who was watching them from the water tower with a pair of binoculars.
