Nyx's pov
A sigh sounded from my mouth as I flopped down on the couch in the lobby.
"Oh, hey nyxie pix.." Alex muttered with a mouth full of food before grinning, cheeks full.
I chuckled. "You look like a chipmunk."
"Am I a cute chipmunk though?" he asked as he batted his eyelashes at me.
"..."
"You hurt my feelings." He fake cried before munching on his bread.
"How is your mom Nyx?" Olivia asked as she turned to face me. "Is she okay?"
"My mom? Oh, she's fine thanks." I gave a tight smile. "She's uh, she's doing much better now."
"I'm glad to hear that." she put a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "If there's anything you need you can let us know. Okay?"
Rebecca, Alex and Jamie nodded at that.
I grinned, a genuine one. "Okay. Thank you, really."
"Aww I love you guys." I laughed and enveloped all of them in a big hug.
"We love you too~" Rebecca cooed.
"You love me the most though, right?" Alex batted his eyelashes at me as he waited for an answer.
Rebecca scoffed before shoving his face away. "Ofcourse not, it's obviously me."
And just like that, the two got into a banter, arguing about which of the two I love more.
"Should we go grab a snack?" Olivia chimed as she grabbed her handbag.
"Sounds good." Jamie and I agreed and the three of us headed to the cafeteria.
"Hey! Wait for us!" Alex and Rebecca scrambled behind us, trying their best to keep up.
"What should I get?"
>>>
I've been so preoccupied with the whole Ginny situation and all the deaths that I've barely hard any time for my studies.
I've dropped. Granted, it wasn't much, but my grades have gone down.
So here I was, browsing through the library aisle looking for a book that can help me.
"Boo!"
I jumped slightly and spun around with a playful glare.
"I got you, didn't I?"
"..."
"C'mon you got to admit it was a bit funny huh Nyxie Pix."
"No Daniel I do not think almost giving me a heart attack was funny." I turned around to hide my smile, pretending that I was looking at the books.
"Do you live in here or something? You're always in here." I muttered as I passed my hands over the spines of the book.
"Yes actually, geniuses like me spend a lot of time in a place of knowledge like this. You wouldn't know about it." He said before flicking a strand of hair from his face and staring at the ceiling, in a 'glorious' pose.
I chuckled and grabbed a book from the shelf. "Hmm, hey remind me, what place did you come in the school exam again?"
He gaped at me, a hand on his chest. "Oh, that's low."
"Hey you started it." I laughed as I headed to the seats.
He followed suit, sitting opposite of me.
"So, what are you up to?" he asked as he took a look at my books.
"Just some studying."
'Bleugh." he fake gagged. "Boringg~"
I rolled my eyes with a smile on my face.
He chuckled and rested his head on his palm as he stared at me.
"Maybe if you read something educational instead of those comics you'll be on my level." I teased as I flipped open my book.
"Is that so?" He got up and grabbed a book of a nearby shelf before returning to his seat.
"Calculus?" I smiled and tilted my head.
"What? I read this book all the time." he shrugged. "It's my favorite."
He opened the book and closed it immediately after reading the first page.
"I'll uh, I'll read this later."
I laughed. "Sure.."
He smiled. "What? You think I'm lying?"
I shrugged. "No, no. I believe you." I hid my smile. "You totally read that book all the time."
He laughed. "But seriously though, you should take it easy. I mean you're practically in here everyday, you've probably read half the library by now."
I gave a tight smile and looked down at my book.
I mean what he said was true, but I wasn't exactly studying..
"You okay?"
"Uh yeah I'm fine."
"Hmm, well maybe we could study together, share some knowledge." he wiggled his eyebrows.
"Haha sure. I have lots to share."
...
(A/N-Kind of a filler. I've been having serious writers block, so I'll try to update more🥲)
