Hello! Long time no see! It appears I have knocked out the first chapter of this fic in record time and I have no idea how I did it. Pure insanity? Probably.
Anyway, this is a sixth-year fic. We are still exploring Andromeda's and Ominis' relationship. There will be some bumps in the road but nothing anything too major. I just know relationships are not always rainbows and butterflies so I have found some ways to keep things interesting.
I estimate this story to be about twenty chapters but it will most likely be more than that.
To those that have been following these two since the beginning, thank you! It's very much appreciated. If you're new, hi, hello. I enjoy writing these two hooligans. They have been occupying my brain for over a year now and I don't know how to make it stop.
Enjoy! :)

The sound of a train whistle filled Andromeda's ears as she stuck her head out the door of the carriage, pausing to take everything all in. Wizards and witches were bustling about on the station platform, parents saying goodbyes to their children, friends running up to each other after being away for the summer, and train employees working hard to gather all the luggage in an orderly fashion. She inhaled through her nose and was met with the smell of smoke, noting that the hint of salt was completely gone.
Andromeda certainly wasn't home anymore. There were no sounds of the waves crashing onto shore, seagulls squawking above her head, or crickets chirping through the night. She was a bit overwhelmed to be submerged in the chaos of wizarding London. Was this what it would have been like if she had gone to Hogwarts as a first-year? She tried to imagine standing on the platform with her parents with her trunk by her side, but her imagination was interrupted by a familiar voice, pulling her back to the present.
"Love?"
Andromeda shook her head a bit and looked down to see Ominis standing by the door of the carriage with his hand extended out to her, waiting for her to join him. He appeared to be at ease despite the chaos that surrounded them, but she then remembered he had done this before. He was more in his element while she was the one that felt like a fish out of water.
"Andromeda? Is something wrong?"
She was touched by his concern, even in small moments like this he was always looking out for her. Andromeda finally reached for his hand and stepped down from the carriage. Their fingers automatically interlaced together. The feeling of his hand against her was like an anchor thrown into the sea, holding her steady in this wave of uncertainty.
"I'm okay. I suppose I didn't know what to expect given that this is my first time in this part of the city. I didn't think it was going to be so loud and...chaotic."
Ominis squeezed her hand for reassurance. "We won't be here for long, I promise." He then pulled a few galleons from his pocket to hand to a nearby porter to take their luggage onto the train. "Where have you been in London?"
A subtle blush bloomed across the surface of Andromeda's cheeks. "I've only been to Diagon Alley with Professor Fig, and that was nothing compared to this. My parents have told me stories about different parts of London given that is where they met, but to be honest, I've only been to the villages that were close to home. We didn't travel a lot due to the nature of my mother's work, especially when my father was taken ill."
"It gets better once we leave the station. Trust me, you're going to love it. I've been told that the view of the castle from the train is absolutely breathtaking. Why don't we head on now and find our cabin so that way we can get settled."
