No rest for the wicked. That saying was all too true as Rose and Dimitri found their selves meeting with Tatiana right after being checked by Dr Olendzki (yet again) post cave incident. Of course they were both given the all clear, Dimitri told to watch for the usual signs of blood donors, Rose to just be watched in general. As for the reason for the meeting, well...

Between entitled attitudes of royals and such differing perspectives of the novices towards their training, Tatiana was even more resolved in her thoughts for their societies' future than ever. In fact, she already went so far as having former queen Ekaterina Zeklos affirms her thoughts on an heir. Having withdrawn from their world in favour of a small island, everyone will be shocked to see the former monarch again, however temporary it may be. Truthfully, it was exactly because of the issues that Tatiana had raised with her that had her withdraw from their society to begin with. It brought Ekaterina great joy to see that the one she had been waiting for, the long awaited saviour of their world, has been born and come into her own enough to rule. Even if that means ruling beside a Moroi, (for now), she couldn't imagine her doing any worse than every other monarch in their history.

When Tatiana had first come to her, she had wanted to brush her off and continue to enjoy her life away from the moroi world at large, enjoy the serenity of her solitary life on her island. But then she recalled the prophecy she was shown by the Court seer at the time, after she had been sworn in as their reigning monarch.

Ekaterina had asked countless questions to try and better understand that prophecy but even the seer could not have seen just how powerful circumstances would have led this flower to become. It was also ironic that she was born into such a family. From the bloodlines she was told the current girl contained, she could only imagine just how many lives she had lived before this one, it was as if all the attempts were culminated in this one. All previous lives joined to give her the best chance to fulfil her destiny. And she would do anything she can to see her do so. It was already unfair that the girl had suffered so much, especially for one so young. Selfishly though, she couldn't wait to see what this generation had in store. Suddenly the future was looking brighter than ever.

Walking into the room where they would be meeting, the pair was met with their entire friendship group. Quick to feel an ambush coming, only the Queen and Hans had any real answers. Once offers of refreshments and pleasantries were out of the way, Tatiana quickly came to her point. Well, one of them. She thought she'd start with the easier task of having Rosemarie organise the Academy guardians into a higher standard of fitness before sending her around the world to visit the various Academies and do the same for the staff and novices.

"You have brought attention to the problem, and now you will be the one to find the solution" Hans told Rose when she questioned why on Earth she was being put in charge of such a large, problematic and systemic situation. "Between Belikov assisting you and your father travelling with you, I'm sure you will have no problem whipping everyone into shape in no time" he smiled. Hans was enjoying this. While he had no problem believing she could do it, it was intriguing for him to think of just how well this may be received. If an Academy like St Vladimir's, known as the Royal Academy, could house such disinterested guardians, then what about the Academies that are more dhampir focused? Doubtful they would keep a higher standard of fitness than here. Even he had found this one severely lacking, especially when reflecting and comparing everything to his time as a student. "Guardian Schoenberg will also be travelling with you, to lend credence to your mission".
