(One of my favorites is going to appear now. I hope y'all will enjoy this)!
After the four left Queen Aemma, Rhaenyra went to attend the king's Small Council, since she filled everyone's cups as they spoke. Jahaenya never attended, only a few times she would. Today she wasn't attending, as usual.
In secret, Lucius was training Jahaenya on how to fight with swords. She didn't want to be seen as just a princess. She wanted to protect everyone in the realm. From her family to their citizens. Lucius had many techniques to show her, and he was great at them, unbeknownst to his family. His father never really cared to see how great he was.
The two sparred for awhile, with Lucius pausing every so often to coach her. Jahaenya trusted him with her life, and appreciated his calm and sweet demeanor to her. Before they could resume, Rhaenyra went over to them. "Daemon's here." She muttered. Jahaenya widened her eyes in shock and excitement. Daemon was her and Rhaenyra's uncle. Jahaenya always favored him.
The sisters made their way to the throne room, where Daemon secretly was. Ser Harrold Westerling accompanied them. He was a knight and became the Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. "He passed through the Red Keep's gates at first light." Ser Harrold said. "Does our father know he's here?" Rhaenyra asked. "No." Ser Harrold responded. "Good." Rhaenyra said as Ser Harrold opened the door. Further away from the door in a dark room, sat a figure on the Iron Throne. Even though it was dark, it was easily noticeable who the figure was.
"Gods be good." Ser Harrold exclaimed. "It's alright, ser." Rhaenyra reassured. "He's like this all the time." Jahaenya added, beginning to chuckle. The girls walked over to the Iron Throne and towards the figure. "What do you think you're doing, Uncle?" Rhaenyra asked, switching to High Valyrian. "Sitting. This could well be my chair one day." Daemon replied. "Not if you're executed for treason." Jahaenya joked. "You haven't come to court in an age." Rhaenyra spoke. "Eh, court is so dreadfully boring." Daemon said with a groan. "Then why come back at all?" Rhaenyra questioned. "I heard your father was hosting a tournament in my honor." Daemon responded. "The tournament is for his heir." Jahaenya corrected. "Just as I said." He muttered with a smirk. "His new heir." Jahaenya chuckled, once again correcting him.
"Until your mother brings forth a son, you are all cursed with me." Daemon said, standing up from the throne. "Then I shall hope for a brother." Rhaenyra smirked. Daemon stood in front of the duo. "I brought you both something." He said, revealing two necklaces. The girls looked at them, grazing them with their fingers. "Do you know what it is?" Daemon asked. "It's Valyrian steel." Rhaenyra answered. "Like Dark Sister!" Jahaenya added with excitement. Daemon eventually put one of the necklaces on Rhaenyra and then Jahaenya. "Now, all three of us own a small piece of our ancestry." Daemon muttered. Owning a necklace that was made with Valyrian steel was exciting enough, but knowing Jahaenya shared it with two of her most favorite people in the world felt wonderful.
(Daemon has arrived! Definitely one of my favorite characters. I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter! Stay tuned for more)!
