Chapter 5

Davina was in a deep slumber when she was abruptly awakened by the sudden sound of someone knocking on her door

Davina: Fuck, 7 o'clock already? That's probably Romeo.

She hurriedly made her way to the door and got a hold of it.

Romeo: Sorry, did I wake you up?! I thought you were ready.

Davina: My apologies for drifting off to sleep! I'll need a few minutes to get ready so please come in.

Romeo entered and followed her to the living room.

Romeo: You've managed to finish packing in a surprisingly short amount of time.

Davina: With no other plans, I went ahead and completed the task. Please have a seat, I will be finished shortly.

Romeo: Alright potato, take your time.

She smiled and headed to her room to get dressed.

Davina: What should I wear?

Upon inspecting her wardrobe, she eventually discovered an outfit to put on and prepared herself.

After completing her task, she left the room and made her way to the living room.

Romeo's attention was fixated on his phone until the sound of her voice reached his ears.

Davina: I'm done, shall we go?

As he raised his head, his eyes widened at the sight of her breathtaking beauty.

Romeo: Wow, you look- amazing, potato-

Davina chuckled responded,

Davina: I cannot afford to appear homeless while out with the president's son.

He chuckled while watching Davina head towards the door, then proceeded to the car after she had secured the entrance.

They departed for the city and came across a restaurant just a few minutes later.

Upon leaving the vehicle, he took hold of her hand and led the way to the entrance.

Davina: Wow, is this new?

Romeo: Yes, one of my friend's dad owns this restaurant and luckily I got us a table tonight.

They entered and made way to the table, taking a seat.

Romeo: What do you want to eat, potato?

Davina: I am not choosy when it comes to food, so I find it difficult to make a decision on what to eat.

Romeo laughed.

Romeo: I got you. You haven't changed a bit since you were a kid.

Davina: Oh, come on. I could never forget that one time I beat your ass for my bag of chips.

Romeo: Hey! Don't try to embarrass me now! We were kids! I mean if you try to beat me now it would be a defeat but still....

Sharing a laugh, Romeo motioned for the waiter to come over and take his order.

They engaged in conversation, passing the time until their meal was brought to their table.

Davina: Hey, what happened to that girl you were dating?

Romeo: Syrella? Oh, we broke up a while ago.
