"WAIT!" Was not what anyone thought they would hear. No one was going to reject, so who would yell 'wait'? Everyone turned to the sound, but they were too slow. Sanemi bolted to Giyu, taking out his sword, striking Obanai's out of the air, where it plunged into the ground behind them. Putting his back, he picked up the heavily shaking Giyu as he quietly moaned in agony. Turning his feet, he started to run, like his life depended on it.

"Shinazugawa! Get back here!"

"Stop!"

"SHINAZUGAWA!"

He was starting to get tired, he had been running far and getting deep into the forest. But he wasn't in the clear, the hashira were following them. Trying to figure out what to do, he hid behind one of the many giant trees, to give some time for a break, and to think of a plan. "Shina..zugawa?"

"Sh, don't say anything. I don't want you to strain yourself even more." He quieted Giyu.

"I see my intestines..." Looking down on him, he took off his only source of warmth, and covered Giyu's stomach. It quickly went a dark red as it was placed. Giyu spat out blood, "I'm not going to make it... let me die Shinazugawa-san..."

He shook his head, "No! I hate to say this but, that demon would never kill and eat a human. That day, when I tested her, I knew then and there that she would do nothing."

"Then why? Why did you hate her so much?"

"She had your life on the line. If she ever did lose control.. I was scared of losing you! Ok?"

Giyu's eyes widened again, "Lose... me?"

He grit his teeth, "Yes! Losing you!"

"....why?"

"BECAUSE I LIKE YOU, GIYU!" His face went red, as his eyes teared up. "Please, try to stay awake longer.."

"Shinazugawa!" The voice came from the following hashira. They found their location.

"Shit!" Sanemi whispered under his breath. He looked behind the trees, seeing Shinobu, Obanai, and Mitsuri looking around. When he turned his head around, he looked up to see two demons. "WHO THE F-"

"Over there!"

"Sorry to bother you, but are you Sanemi Shinazugawa, and is the man you're holding, Giyu Tomioka?" The female demon asked, as the male demon stood slightly behind her.

His eyes widened more, "How did you-"

"We have been sent to get you." The male answered for her.

"Why?"

"There is no time, your friend is going in and out of conciseness."

Sanemi looked down to see Giyu fully out. "Giyu.." He felt more tears threatening to fall. "Fine."

"He's over there-" Shinobu called out, only to see a demon look at them, and then, nothing.

They all ran to what looked like a house. Sanemi had no idea what was going on. Why would a demon be helping him and Giyu? It made no sense to him, they are supposed to be man eating monsters! The closer they got, the more cold he felt Giyu get. His breathing slowed, and his body started to sink more into his arms. They made it inside, shutting the door behind them. "Let me take him." She offered, "I am a doctor after all." Looking at the two, he hesitantly gave Giyu to her.  "Yushiro, help me get the supplies."

Sanemi sat by the wall next to the door. Inside, they were trying everything they could to keep Giyu alive. Even with them helping, he couldn't trust them. 'Demons are demons,' he thought to himself. 'What if they are eating him?

Before he could think of any other situations, the female demon opened the door. We walked over to greet them at the door. She invited him in, giving him a chair to sit on. "Mr. Shinazugawa, I think we should introduce ourselves. My name is Tamayo, and this is Yushiro. We have to get straight to the case, Giyu isn't going to make it."

"..." Sanemi ran his fingers through his hair, he was trying to hide his face. He was embarrassed to cry in front of strangers. Looking at Giyu, he noticed just how pale he got. "There isn't anything you could do...?"

"There is," She responded, "But, it will mean he will have to be turned into a demon."

"What?!" He stood up from his chair. "A DEMON?"

"He will live off blood, just like us. We don't do this unless the patient is going to die."

As she said those words, Sanemi got even more infuriated, "Live of blood?" he scoffed, "Yeah right, he will become one of those human flesh cravers.."

"That won't happen. I got rid of Kibutsuji's curse, meaning, I don't crave human flesh but have to live off blood." She reassured him. "But that isn't the point here, turning him is our only option to save him. If we patch him up and wait for him to recover, he will bleed from the inside, killing him."

Sanemi sat back down as he rubbed his face, "...there aren't any other options?" Sanemi pleaded.

"No, this is everything we could do. We can't get Giyu's consent to turn him, so we need your 'ok' to go through with it."

Sanemi's mind was racing. 'Giyu, one of those disgusting creatures? Will I even be able to look at him the same way? What if the other hashira find out? What if they actually kill him this time?! Like I'd let them touch him. One hand and they're dead!' "Do it, I don't want him to die." He didn't hesitate.

"As you wish." Lady Tamayo walked him out of the room.

Sanemi sat on the other side of the door again. He wanted to be there for when they let him see Giyu again. By then, he fell asleep. It was past 6 o'clock in the morning, and the sun was threatening to rise over the horizon. As the sunlight hit his face, blanketing over his eyes, his eyes slowly fluttered open. His eyes opened to a blue, almost grey skinned demon. His hair was shaggy and unkempt, and he had Giyu's clothes.

"Giyu...? Is that really you! You're alive!" He hugged him.

"Who is... G-Giyu?"

"What.."
