This Isn't Right (Sanegiyu)

Chapter 5 - Water and Fire Don't Mix

(It's been so long my grammar has improved and I had to re-read what I have written- also the past chapters look like total cringe.. how did people read my small brain fics..???) 

Giyu moved forward, "Kyo-" 

"GET BACK!!" Sanemi lunged at Giyu and pulled him away from the sudden attack. Fire surrounded the group and climbed up all the trees. Branches slowly fell to the ground making it harder for the group to concentrate. The fire grew bigger in size and started to blind their surroundings. The group put their backs together as they tried to figure out where the new upper three is hiding. "Fuck.. the fire is getting too close!"

A soft pitter-patter erupted into a loud roar as red coloured rain fell around them. The fire hissed as it went out violently, leaving smoke that slowly faded. After it went out, a blast went straight at the new demon, burning his face. "DID THAT HURT?" The new upper three roared. A blade almost glazed him as he jumped away in time. Giyu struggled to heal himself as Sanemi put himself in the way of Rengoku.

Sanemi grit his teeth, "YOU ASSHOLE! How could you betray the Demon Slayer Corps?"

"We thought you were dead!" Shinobu, in disbelief, hesitated with her blade. "We don't want to do this, please corporate, and we can turn you back!"

Rengoku chuckled, "Turn me back? Like you could do that."

Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zentizu stepped forward. Urokodaki clutched his blade, "Miss, he is too far gone." He slowly breathed in, and he got into position. Sliding his blade out, he threw himself at the upper moon, getting a clear hit but missed the neck. Sanemi joined in and got another slice on Rengoku.

Fire flew out of Rengoku when the two got close. It reached both of them, lighting up their clothes. Before the fire could get worse, water surrounded the two. "I WON'T LET YOU BURN THEM!"

"HA? THE LONER GAINING CONFIDENCE?" Upper Three smirked, "The sun shall rise in 30 minutes. Can you last that long?"

"If it means killing you."

The young trio looked to find an opening. "What are we going to do, Tanjiro?" Zentizu cried.

"I-"

Tanjiro got cut off, "-you are fighting me!~"

"Huh? Uh- AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Zentizu screeched.

"ZENITZU!!" Shinobu called out to him, "Tan-.." Suddenly, the five of them, including Nezuko, disappeared. The other remaining ones tried to focus on the new upper rank. So many things were happening at once. They couldn't focus and were getting slashed and burned left and right. Giyu tried his best to keep the flames out. He didn't really understand his own abilities yet. The ones that were fighting Rengoku were Sanemi, Giyu, and Urokodaki. Lady Tamayo and Yushiro couldn't go into the fight. Lady Tamayo had to look for the perfect opportunity to turn Rengoku back to human. Also, they had to worry about their own safety. After all, the sun was going to rise really soon. If they get caught in the light, they are dead. 

~~~A day before~~~

"HOW DID WE LOOSE THEM SO EASILY?" Obanai kicked a tree and stubbed his toe. 

"Calm down!" Mitsuri waved her hands, "I'm sure we will find them!" His face turned red as he looked down. Signing, he nodded his head as the started to run in a different direction. It has been a while since Sanemi had run away with Giyu. They knew for sure that he would be dead but they couldn't just ignore what Sanemi did. Ordered to take down Sanemi, and to end Giyu themselves was playing with their brains. Mitsuri didn't want to kill anyone, same with Obanai. Even if he hated him, he didn't want to kill him. It hurt even more so that he had to go against his best friend. They have been friends since they met each other for the first time. How could he ever go against Sanemi?
