3 years have passed since the Ego incident, and life couldn't be better.
Ruby and Rocket have rekindled their friendship,spending more time together, whether it'd be raising Groot or building new weapons. Whatever it was, it made the two more upbeat and less....you know.
Even though there were still those awkward moments that made them blush under their fur, things couldn't have been better.
And nothing can change the happiness and overall peace everyone felt, as peaceful as it could be anyway.
Until one fateful day, in which Ruby had to set off for a little trip.
Apparantly, Ragnarok had happened, so Ruby made a choice to help her old pal out.
The guardians supported her descision(Especially Drax). Some felt worried, like her sister, but Ruby assured her it would be alright.
Rocket didn't really say anything, but a thought penetrated his mind.
Would it be considered pathetic if he was to say he already missed her?
They just reconnected,...and hopefully this won't be the last time they see each other. From what she said, Ragnarok sounded like population-ending business.
He sighed and retreated to his quarters, hoping wishfully, that after this little thing....
Everything would go back to how it was. Just....friends.
It has to.
Besides, how bad can it possibly become?
