Gregory took her hand. "I am anxious to spend more time with you Delilah."
Delilah smiled. "I am as well. I am also anxious to see the rest of your magnificent estate, both this one and Lennox Hall."
Gregory chuckled. "Don't worry, you will get to see them both when the time is right. However, we should get some rest. It is quite late."
Delilah glanced at the large grandfather clock in the corner of the room, her eyes widening when she noticed it was half past midnight. "My word, I had no idea how late it was."
Gregory. "Neither did I."
Delilah. "Is my bedroom beside yours?"
Gregory nodded, rising to his feet and pulling her up with him. "Yes, your room is right next-door to mine."
Delilah. "I would love to see it."
Gregory escorted her out of his bedroom and into a large sitting room. He pointed to a door on the opposite end of the room. "That door leads to your bedroom. This sitting room connects our two bedrooms together."
Delilah nodded, walking toward the door to her bedroom and opening it. Stepping through, her eyes traveled around the room with satisfaction. It was just as large and luxurious as the one Gregory had, similarly furnished. "It is lovely."
Gregory followed her. "You may decorate your bedroom however you would like."
Delilah glanced at him. "I do not believe it needs decoration. It is perfect the way it is."
Gregory smiled. "I am glad you like it."
They stared at each other, neither one willing to move. They had shared quite the passionate kiss, and a bit more, earlier that evening. Neither of them wanted to be separated.
Gregory closed the distance between them, bringing her lips to his for a sweet kiss. "Good night my dear."
Delilah returned his kiss. "Good night. I will see you in the morning I hope."
Gregory. "You will, I assure you."
With a final kiss and embrace, they stepped away from each other and parted for the night.

As the first week came and went, Gregory and Delilah spent more and more time together. They enjoyed breakfast out in the garden, devoured books in the library, and shared a love of music. They did not make love, but did exchange several delicious kisses whenever the servants were not around. The passion was evident, scorching even, but they didn't want to act on that passion yet.
One morning during the beginning of the second week, Delilah was being escorted to her bedroom, her hand clasped tightly within Gregory's fingers. Gregory had announced that there was a surprise waiting for her in her bedroom. She was anxious to find out what that surprise was.
Gregory escorted her into her bedroom, guiding her toward the closet. "Keep your eyes closed for a moment longer."
Delilah giggled. "How much longer?"
Gregory. "Until I open your closet."
Delilah felt his fingers disappear from hers, then heard the door to her closet open. "May I see the surprise now?"
Gregory. "All right, open your eyes."
Delilah opened her eyes and felt her mouth drop. "Oh..."
Standing before her was a collection of 18 magnificent gowns. The colors ranged from pastel to jewel tone, the material comprised of silk satin and velvet. The sleeves were off the shoulder, the neck lines either square scoop or sweetheart. The decorations on the bodices consisted of either pearls lace or gemstones.
Gregory came up behind her, placing his hands on her shoulders. "What do you think?"
Delilah turned and kissed him. "They are magnificent, thank you."
Gregory smiled, returning her kiss. "You are welcome. I was thinking you could wear one of the velvet ones this evening."
Delilah. "What is the occasion?"
Gregory smiled brightly. "The opera."
Delilah's eyes widened. "The opera?"
Gregory nodded. "Yes, have you attended before?"
Delilah shook her head. "No, I have not. I have always dreamed of attending the opera."
Gregory smiled. "Well my dear, tonight will be your first experience of what the opera is like."
Delilah returned his smile. "I cannot wait."

Later that evening, Delilah was standing before her mirror, staring at her reflection. The gown she had chosen for the opera was a magnificent royal blue velvet with sapphire gemstones along the bodice. Her hair was fixed into an elegant braided bun, complete with a butterfly shaped hair comb with diamonds and sapphires.
Sliding on her cream silk gloves, Delilah turned and smiled as she saw Gregory standing in the doorway of her bedroom. Her eyes couldn't help but travel down his muscular body that was outlined in his three-piece suit of black velvet with a cream button up shirt cravat and black boots. "You look very handsome."
Gregory stepped into the room, closing the distance between them and taking her hands. "And you look ravishing."
Delilah blushed a soft pink, her eyes dancing with excitement. "Is the carriage prepared?"
Gregory chuckled, sliding her hand through his elbow and escorting her out of the room. "It is."
Exiting Lenox Park, they climbed into the carriage that was waiting for them and settled back against the tufted seats. Once the signal was given, the vehicle began to move down the cobblestone Street toward the London Opera House. Their eyes traveled to the window, watching as the city lights swept past.
