"The patient will sometimes hear multiple voices, and the voices can either talk to the patient or each other."
The bottle read "Take two pills twice a day by mouth". Michael grabbed the pills and put them into his open mouth. He filled a cup up with water and when he lifted his gaze from the sink to the bathroom mirror he saw a young woman standing behind him. She had platinum blonde locks flowing down her shoulders. Her eyes were hazel brown with light hints of white. She wore a black sweater that was torn in three long lines in the front, almost as if the sweater had been slashed by something sharp. Under the sweater slashes a purple shirt peeked through. The words "Gens ferox et Blanditia" that resided on the purple shirt were made visible by the slashes. She had a dark complexion in the face, but her eyes and hair brought brightness to what seemed like a tainted soul. She had a certain beauty that emanated from deep inside her. On the lower half of her body, there was a short black skirt that also had small slash marks. The words "Fallen Angel" were written on her wrists with dark paint, almost as if she was covering something up. She stared at Michael with her beautiful eyes and finally spoke.
"Hi......" The tone of her voice was hushed and ominous.
"Who are you?" Michael knew that she was another figment of his imagination, but she seemed so real to him.
"Swallow the pills and you will never know." Michael spit the pills out and washed them down the sink. She smiled and softly giggled; she seemed harmless.
"So are you going to tell me who you are?"
"Lucy is the name you gave me."
"I gave you?"
"Am I not just another 'Voice' like Jack? You made me, whether you meant to or not. I'm your new friend."
"Dr. Timbs says you guys aren't my friends because you aren't real."
"Michael, do you really believe and trust Dr. Timbs?"
"I.....I.....No."
"Then trust me Michael."
"Ok Lucy." Michael instilled trust into his new friend. He found comfort within her eyes and beauty.
"Now no more of these pil-" Lucy was cut off by Michael's older brother Mark walking into the room. He heard Michael talking to himself again.
"You ok Mikey?" His brother looked at him with concern and a heavy heart.
"Just finishing up taking my pills for the night." Michael felt the discomfort his brother had by just seeing him with the pills. He never wanted any of this to effect the way his family saw him. All he wanted was to lay in bed and listen to music.
