Rose was sitting in class, trying to listen to the teacher. English class was usually pretty easy for her and something, actually someone, was taking over her thoughts. That one guy with dark hair and eyes, sitting two rows in front of her. Lucas.

She knew that this crush was never going to lead anywhere, because he and her barely talked or knew each other. She just could not help it. His laugh could only make her smile, or the way he was drawing instead of listening to the teacher at this moment. His drawings had always intrigued her. From where she was sitting, she could only see a part of it, but one thing was sure, he was talented.

Rose hoped that one day she would get a chance with him, at the very least get a real conversation with Lucas but she could not help but to think it was a hopeless case.

"For this next assignment, I will pick the teams, no negotiations. The work is due on friday and you will have some time in class, but you might need time at home to complete it." The teacher said despite the student's protests. Names were called and Rose was worried about who she would end up, especially now that most of her friends had all been picked.

"Emmett and Bay, Rose and Lucas..."

The dark-eyed teenager turned to her and smiled before going back to his drawings. Rose smiled too, happy that she had a chance to talk a little more to her crush. Maybe her luck was turning ?

"We will start tomorrow, but try to separate the task equally with your partner before tomorrow." The teacher finished just before the bell rang and all of the students grabbed their books and got up. Lucas came to Rose as she was walking in the hallway.

"It's okay if I send you a message tonight and we figure out what to do with this assignment?" He asked.

"Yeah, sure." Rose responded, with a huge smile on her face. He smiled back and walked away.

"Hey, Rose!" Leia said from behind her.

"Hey, Leia!" She turned around to see her friend.

"I was just wondering if you and your parents are planning on coming to the barbecue for my Dad's birthday this weekend?" Leia asked.

"I think yes, I'll check with my parents tonight." Rose answered.

"Good. I have to go, bye!" The blonde said before going in the opposite direction.

Victoria joined Neal at their usual table in the cafeteria. It was one of those days where they just liked to sit only the two of them and talk. They really liked all of their friends but the two of them had a different connection, and they've pretty much been together since the minute they were born. However, there was no romantic feeling between them. The thought of being a couple sounded disgusting to the two teenagers.

"I've just had this trig test. I didn't understand a thing! Why does math have to be so complicated?" Neal asked as he took a bite of his sandwich.

"Actually, I think trig is easy." Victoria answered and shrugged her shoulders.

"I know, you're good in every subject. But what's the deal with triangles? Why is trigonometry so important?" Neal added.

"I don't know, man." The red head laughed. "You're still in for studying at Granny's after school?"

"Yeah, sure!" He smiled.

"But I won't stay too long. My mom wants to finish magic lessons that we started this morning." Victoria added and took a sip from her water bottle.

"Okay. How's the magic going?" Neal asked.

"I'm... not so sure. These powers are just scaring me. Sometimes I just feel like it's too much. But I'm born with it and I can't just ignore it, I need to control them." Victoria answered truthfully. She had wished a lot of times that she didn't have to worry about magic or getting tempted by darkness but she had it in her. She just needed to believe that someday she would have complete control over her magic.

"Hey, I know you, and I know everything will be fine. You're good at everything, so you shouldn't worry too much about this." Neal tried to reassure her.

"Yeah, but magic is not just some trig problem. This can mess with lives, destroy some, just like it did for my- Zelena." She replied.

"Just trust me and more importantly, trust you. You will do fine, you always do." He said and made Victoria smile.

Leia took the orange juice bottle out of the fridge and seeing that it was almost empty, she drank directly from the bottle. Her twin brother saw her and stared.

"What? I was finishing it. There's nothing disgusting about it." Leia said as she threw the empty bottle in the trash.

"That's what I would say if I hadn't already drank from this bottle before." Liam answered with a smirk and started laughing when he saw his sister's reaction.

"Eww. Gross! Gross! Gross!" Leia screamed as she ran to get a glass of water.

"I was kidding." Her brother added and she groaned.

"I'm not taking any chance with you." She replied.

"I was just coming to tell you that mom and dad will come home late and I'll be in my room until tomorrow morning, when you'll probably find a great way to wake me up." Liam declared before leaving the kitchen.

After a few glasses of water, Leia got back to her room. She placed a few pillows under her covers like she had already done a couple of times and then snuck out the window, taking only her phone with her. Trying to be the most silent and discreet, she walked to the sidewalk without making a sound. A few minutes later, she was by the little lake where her parents used to bring her when she was little. Her brother and her loved to play there before, but these days, she came there for other reasons than childhood games.

Someone covered her eyes and she jumped, not expecting it, but when she heard his laugh, she recognized him in a matter of second.

"Guess who?" He said behind her.

"This is such a hard question!" She joked. "I'd say... Nate"

"And you got it right!" Nate said and took off his hands. Leia turned around and kissed him. "I also have strawberries, and chocolate, interested?"

"I'm always in for strawberries and chocolate." Leia responded, smiling.

A few minutes later they were lying on the ground, eating strawberries and chocolate while talking.

"You still had to sneak out tonight?" Nate asked.

"Yeah. At least my parents weren't there and Liam was probably listening to his too music too loud to hear me pass by the window-" Leia said but was cut off by her boyfriend.

"Shouldn't we tell your brother? I mean, he's one of my best friends and-"

"And that's why you know that it's not a good idea. It would just be weird, Liam wouldn't be okay with this and he would tell mom and dad." She answered, dipping a strawberry in the chocolate and then eating it. "My mom well... she had a bad experience with someone dating a guy at fifteen and my dad... he's just overprotective."

"I'd just like to be with you all the time, not only those nights when you're lying about where you are or putting pillows under the sheets of your bed to fool your family. We always see each other at school and yet it's like we are strangers" Nate said.

"I know. I'll just... figure out a way to deal with this." She sighted. Nate dipped the fruit in the chocolate and looked at Leia.

"Open your mouth." He said. She bit into the fruit and laughed before she later down and watched the stars above her. "You got some chocolate right here," He added, pointing the corner of her lips and kissed her. Leia brought her hands to his face and responded to the kiss.

Just behind the two teenagers was a couple taking a walk after they had a great dinner. Hand in hand, Emma and Killian were talking until they saw two young people making out. It only took a few seconds for the pirate to recognise his daughter.

"Leia?" He asked.
