> "Hey Newbie!"

> [Well, except for one thing.]

> "Whatcha doing?"

> "I'm kinda busy right now..."

> [Your coworker notices a document on your desk.]

> "Klaus Hartmann... Is that your name, Newbie?"

> "Yeah, that's my name..."

> "So you're German?"

> "Not really-"

> "Did you participate in World War 2?"

> "No... Did you participate in the Civil War?"

> "What's that?"

> [For a moment, you smile nervously, thinking it was a joke. But when you saw your coworker's face, your expression changed.]

> "You seriously don't know what the Civil War is?"

> "No, seriously, what's that?"

> "... Nevermind. So what do you need?"

> "I just came to say 'hello' to my best friend in the company!" [Your coworker says confidently.] "Oh! And also: tomorrow we're having a party at the office, wanna come?"

> "S-sorry, but-"

> "Perfect! The party will be at 7:00 o'clock, don't be late!"

[Before you can say anything else, your coworker walks away.]

> "W-wait, your lighter-!"

> [But your coworker had already left the cubicle, not hearing anything else you say. You sigh in frustration, trying to hold back your irritation before you go back to work.]
