May, 1984

It was early in the morning, everything was quiet, and peaceful. In a bed laid a blond woman, who slept soundly. Well, until there was a loud knock on her bedroom door. With a loud creak of the door, which ended hitting the wall behind it, in the doorway stood a little boy, her dearest son. (Y/N).

He was her pride, her joy, the apple of her eye. There he stood, a bright smile present on his face, which was mostly covered with his hair. The boy carefully walked over to his mother's bed, as to not spill the food on the breakfast tray.

(Y/N) had insisted on making the breakfast by himself, without the help of his father. So, the toast he made was slightly burnt, the cereal, was on the brink of overflowing with milk, and the orange juice, was in a plastic kids cup. Though, not perfect, to Diane, it meant the world. On the tray, a daisy in a flower vase, and homemade card, on it a childish drawing of (Y/N)'s mother and him.

Once the boy made it to the bed, he carefully placed the tray on the bed side table, then climbed on the bed to give his mother a hug. "Happy Mother's day mama!" The child's smile grew wider as he looked at his mother through his hair, which still covered his face. Diane smiled, and pushed his hair back to see her son's face. "Thank you so much my starlight!" She kissed her son's cheek.

"Mama..."

"Yes, my starlight?"

"I miss you so much..."

May 1992

The rain outside was heavy, and tapped rapidly on the window of Addison's Apartments. Lisa was washing the dishes, zoned out as usual, and listened to the rain outside. Suddenly two pairs of arms wrapped around her, startling her.

Lisa jumped, before seeing the cheeky smiles of her boys. Larry, and (Y/N). Oh how she adored her boys. They made the day brighter on the cloudiest days. "Happy Mother's day mom!" The two said in sync. Lisa dried off her hands, and then turned around to fully embrace the two. "Oh hello you two," she smiled.

Stepping back they each present their gifts. Larry's was a painting rose, Lisa's favorite flower. the background was a blend of multiple colors, which contrasted well with the deep red of the rose. (Y/N)'s was a CD, on its case was a number of songs, and in big bold words, 'AMAZING TUNES FOR AMAZING U'. The word play was cheesey, and the cover wasn't flashy, but all the songs on the CD were (Y/N) own cover with his guitar. "Thank you so much boys!" Lisa hugs the two once again, smiling widely.

"Mom?"

"Yes (Y/N)?"

"I'm so sorry..."

May, present day

It was just another day in the hotel. (Y/N) sat by the window, staring at the white light that shone in the sky. A look of sadness present on his face as he reminded of his mothers.

It was cruel really. Life gave him a chance to have a mother, twice. And yet, both times he messed up. As he stares up at the heavens above, he can't help but feel guilty.

"Happy Mother's day mama, Happy Mother's day mom. I miss you both."

Heyyyy, sorry for like no updates, but I just haven't had much creative juice when it comes to writing lol. Maybe I just need to get high again or not sleep or something cause apparently that's when I get the most productive when it comes to writing.

Anyways hope you enjoyed some mommy issues, and if you are a mother, or have a good relationship with yours, hope you have a great mother's day!

If your mom is also dead, then enjoy it with Sally Face!

And if you hate your mom, have a bad relationship with her, or don't talk to her anymore, then fuck her that's her loss!
