As the day went on, in the back of my mind, I was still uncomfortable about talking to Minho. It would be awkward, but it would be better if I cleared things up.

Jihyo stood up, packing her stuff. "See you tomorrow, Wonwoo," she said and headed out.

Soon, I switched off my computer, packed my things, and looked over at Minho's desk, a couple of aisles away. He was immersed in his work. I hung my satchel on my shoulder and made my way towards him.

He looked up at the sound of my shoes. The office was quiet with only a few people still around.

"Oh, Wonwoo, I..." he started.

"You wanted to talk?" I asked.

"Uh, yes..." He stood up, rubbing his hands on his thighs and looking around. Minho was a few inches taller than me, his long hair falling over his forehead. I would be lying if I said he wasn't handsome. My mind couldn't help but drift back to Mingyu. On our date, he had looked mesmerizing. The current situation didn't help; a pang of guilt rushed through me.

"Actually, Mr. Park has asked me to complete some extra reports because of the new CEO coming tomorrow," Minho said, sounding genuinely regretful. "I really wanted to talk today, but I'm swamped with work right now. Can we meet for coffee tomorrow instead?"

Internally, I felt a wave of relief. The last thing I wanted was a long conversation with Minho, especially after my date with Mingyu yesterday. But I couldn't outright refuse him. "Sure, coffee tomorrow sounds good," I agreed.

Minho smiled, visibly relieved. "Great. I'll see you tomorrow then."

As I left the office, I felt lighter. The awkward confrontation was postponed, and I had time to sort through my thoughts about Mingyu. Maybe things were starting to look up after all.

I stepped out into the cool evening air, taking a deep breath. My phone buzzed in my pocket, and I pulled it out to see a text from Jeonghan: "How did your day go?"

I smiled and decided to call him instead of replying with a text. The phone rang a few times before he picked up.

"Hey, Wonwoo! How was work?" Jeonghan's cheerful voice greeted me.

"Hey, Jeonghan. It was alright. I was actually hoping we could meet up. I have something to tell you," I said, walking towards the café we usually went to.

"Sure, I was just closing up the shop. Seungcheol is picking me up soon, but I can meet you there first," he replied.

"Great, see you soon," I said, hanging up.

Ten minutes later, I walked into the cozy café and found Jeonghan already sitting at our usual table, a warm smile on his face. I ordered a coffee and sat down across from him.

"So, what's up?" Jeonghan asked, his eyes full of curiosity.

I took a deep breath. "I went on a date yesterday."

Jeonghan's eyes widened in surprise and delight. "No way! With who?"

"Kim Mingyu," I replied, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks. "He's... he's really something, Jeonghan. It was just one date, but I can't stop thinking about him."

Jeonghan leaned back, a satisfied smile on his face, "I'm so happy Woo he's a really nice guy"

"Wait, you knew him?" I asked, the waitress came with our coffees, "Cheol and him are best friends.", "Even Hoshi knew him, but you all never told me about him, why'd you keep that dude hidden from me?"

Jeonghan chuckled and sipped his coffee, "You were too busy with your Minho".

The coffee turned more bitter for me, I made a face and Han read it, "Kwan told me". I knew what.

"Wonwoo, forget about Minho, Mingyu is really a nice guy, you should look forward with him"

"It...it won't be too fast right?" I voiced the same concern, "I know you are nervous, but with Mingyu I can guarantee you, c'mon tell me bout the date" He insisted.

As I recounted the details of my date with Mingyu, the worries and awkwardness of the day seemed to melt away. For the first time in a long while, I felt hopeful about the future. Just as I finished, Jeonghan's phone buzzed.

"It's Seungcheol. He's here to pick me up," Jeonghan said, standing up. "I'm so happy for you, Wonwoo. Let's talk more tomorrow."

"Thanks, Jeonghan. See you tomorrow," I said, watching him leave. Feeling a little lighter, I headed home, looking forward to what the future might bring.
