As I was driving, I couldn't stop thinking about the emerald, why did he think I could take care of it. Now my life is all depending on a stupid emerald. Why me? Just then I got a call from Sarah
"Hey," I said, I think she could tell something was wrong.
"Hey, are you ok," She said.
"Ya I'm fine, just had an interesting night." I replied.
"What happened today, why were you in such a rush?" She asked.
"I was just busy," I started getting frustrated,
"Are you sure, you sounded upset earlier?" She said,
"Ya I'm fine, but I have to go, I'm busy at the moment talk later, bye." I lied, I wasn't busy, I just wanted time to think.

Sarah's pov

I wondered why Justin kept on being so defensive, he sounded so frustrated, and I couldn't help but wonder why, did I do something to upset him?
It took me a while to fall asleep, because I was thinking of reasons for him to act so different.

Justin's pov

I finally arrived home, and I knew that the first thing I would do was to find a hiding spot to put the emerald. I remembered that I had an old wooden floor panel in my room that was loose, and you could hide things in there. And I put the emerald there, and collapsed on my bed, after a long day I could finally sleep.
At 5am I received a text, and it woke me right out of my sleep, I looked at my phone, and it was a number I've never seen before, and I read the text message,
"I will find the emerald, I know that someone in your little group of spy's has it."
I was shocked, and there was no more sleep for me, I had realized that whom ever sent it, shared it to everyone else, and they all had seen the message. And they all knew who had the emerald. Me.

The day has ticked away slowly, I was so tired, I wanted nothing to do with this stupid job.
'Ding dong'
I was hoping it was someone I actually wanted to see, but it was a man who was advertising his store.
"Do you need cleaning services, at clean away we can clean your house, only for $13 an hour." He said with a happy voice,
"No, I think I'm ok." I said trying to seem nice.
"Are you sure, it's a special offer." He said.
"Ya I'm sure, thanks." I replied, trying to seem nice, but I just wanted to get him to leave.
"Why don't you let me come in and look around." He said, and I started to get weirded out,
"Please go." I said, almost yelling.
"No." He replied with a powerful voice.
"Let me look around," he said once more.
"Who the hell are you," I said acting confused, worried, and frustrated. "Where are you from?"
"That doesn't matter." He said, and acting creepy.
I slammed the door in his face, locked all the windows and doors, and ran up to my room. I could hear him trying to open the door, how would I get out, should I call the cops. I grabbed my phone, and it was hacked, a blank screen, it was gone, someone prepared for this, and I was now scared. I snatched the emerald from under the wood panel, and jumped out the window, and bolted down the street, I was hoping he wouldn't get in to my house, I had no idea if he had seen me jump out? Sarah only lived about a 10 minute jog away, I sprinted to her house and got there in only 5 minutes. I knocked on the door, desperate for her to answer. But no she was out, of course. I decided that I could not stand out in the street and wait for her, so I hopped her fence, and got into her backyard. Instead of waiting in the front, I waited here instead.
I've been waiting for an hour, and I started wondering if I was at the wrong house, until I heard a door slam, and I hopped over the fence to say hi. And she was there in a sports outfit, with a friend of hers that I've never seen before. She looked at me in confusion, and told her friend that she'd be right back, I had no idea what to say.
"Um, hi?" She said in curiosity,
"Hi," I said looking down at the ground.
"Is everything ok?"
"Can I stay here tonight, I think someone broke into the house, and you were the first person I came to." I said, she was the first person I would go to, she was me but a girl, and my parents and family lived an hour or two away, and I didn't really feel like sprinting there,
"Um, ok, one second." She said and walked up to her friend.
Hey Jenna, something's come up, can we have a rain check for that sleepover," said Sarah.
"Sure, I hope everything's ok, talk to you later." Said Jenna, and then she started running home, I guess she didn't live to far.
Sarah ran up to me, and she unlocked the door, and welcomed me in.
"So, do you want anything to eat?" Asked Sarah,
"I'm ok thanks for asking," I replied,
"Um, so, do you want to talk about want happened," she asked in a curious voice,
"Well there's something I need to tell you," I said with my nerves eating me from the inside.
"Ok, what is it?" she asked with wonder.
"I have no idea how you might react, but it's something I've been holding in for a long time now." I said worried.
"Ok?" She said and also sounded worried.

I think it was time to reveal my big secret, to her, I had absolutely no idea how she would react, and I was going for the worst, but who knew how she would react.
