As I was taken into the room, I could still hear the chants that everyone was yelling.
"My names Gil, I am the leader of all the Russians you see in this place, and many others," he said. You could notice he was Russian because of his accent, but it wasn't as rich as the guy who caught me jumping out of the window. "Do you know why you're here"
"Not really," I lied, I couldn't let them know I had the emerald, hiding in a thermos at my house, even though they probably know I have it.
"DONT LIE" He screamed,
"I'm not," I spoke back,
"We know you have the emerald, just save us time and tell us where it is?" He asked, loudly.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," I replied.
"Lock him up," he said, and motioned to the people to do as their told.
Lock me up, what the hell did that mean? They grabbed my arms, and pulled me to where they were taking me.
"Where am I going?" I yelped,
"You'll find out soon enough," said one of the people who was taking me to where Gil told them to take me.
I saw that one of the people here, opened the main door where you enter in to get in the place, and I thought quickly. 'What are me chances of living, if I let them take me to where they were going to "lock me up", or if I bolted out that door?' I sprinted, pulled their arms off mine, and ran as fast as I could, I was out of their. Guessing where to go, I ran right, and deeper into the forest. I could hear them yelling,
- You let him go,
- Get him,
- Run,
- I knew that was going to happen.
I just kept on running, straight, deeper into the forest, I had absolutely no idea where I was, I heard them running, the tree branches cracking under their feet, as they attempted to catch me. After a few minutes I had finally reached a path, that actually looked like it had been used not to long ago, I thought that if they also reached the path, they would think that I would have ran down it, so I decided to keep on running into the forest, and see if I could trick them.
It slowly started getting darker and darker, I'd been walking for over an hour.
As I continued down into the forest, I had finally saw a shack of some sort, it looked abandoned, but now I know that abandoned things aren't always abandoned! I slowly walked up to it, didn't see anyone, so I knocked on the door, no answer, I opened the door
"Hello?" I yelled,
No answer, no one, yup, abandoned.
I decided to sleep here tonight, not like I had anywhere else to go. It took me forever to fall asleep, I didn't know my surroundings, nor if anyone was near me, and I also kept on hearing the wind and the trees, leaves, and sticks cracking., or blowing against the wind.
I had finally fallen asleep, but an hour after, I woke up to the sticks cracking, yes, they were cracking before. But now it was much louder, and I knew I was not alone anymore, I was almost positive that they had found me. I couldn't go hide anywhere, it wasn't that big where I was sleeping, I decided that I should make a run for it, try to out run them. I slowly opened the door, and got ready to dash, I started running, I didn't look back, but once I started hearing them running too, but not to me, away from me, I looked behind me, and I got all scared for nothing, because it was a deer. I walked back to my little sleep away, and fell asleep again.
The next morning had arrived, and I thought that I should get up early, because they would probably be looking for me, and I wanted to get a head start. After walking for about half an hour, I had reached a gas stations, I walked up and went to the counter of the gas stations convenience store,
"I know this is probably a stupid question, but where am I?" I asked the person at the desk, with curiosity,
"Don't worry, I get asked that all the time, you're in San Antonio." He said.
"Ok thanks," I walked away in shock, I lived in Dallas Texas, and I'm in San Antonio Texas, that's about 4 hours away from each-other, how did I not wake up in that car yesterday?
I had no phone, and no money, no anything. I thought that I should wait for a car, and ask for a ride.
First car I'd seen in hours had just drove up to get gas, I walked up to the man,
"I'm just wondering, where are you going," I asked the man,
"Just to my work, about two hours away." He said,
"Well, can I come?" I asked with wonder,
"Um, I guess!" He answered.
I was relieved.
I entered his car, and it smelt of smoke.
"Thanks for letting me into your car," I said,
"Yup" He replied, "what's your name?"
I was debating to say my real name, or fake one,
"Justin Caylen," I said.
"Oh," he said, "where are you from?"
"Dallas Texas," I answered, "you?"
"Here", then he looked away,
"Where do you work?" I asked with curiosity,
"In a abandoned museum, that's in a forest," he said, then looked right into my eyes with no emotion.
Oh no, I was in the car with one of the Russian people that had tried to catch me. What should I do.
"Ok," I think my worried ness was showing.
I waited until we drove past a big forest, so that if I leaped out, he would get lost, even though if I did jump out into a forest, I would probably get lost too, but I already was.
After a few minutes of silence, we drove past a forest, it was now my time, I unlocked the car door, opened it, and jumped, I rolled so that I wouldn't hit my head. His car skid over to the side, he leaped out, and started following me, he ran really fast, I got a distance between us, and climbed a tree with lots of leaves, so I could try and blend in.
After a few minutes I saw him walk right past the tree I was in, he was speaking on the phone,
"I know I should of caught him, I'm sorry, Is there any new news on are situation... Oh, now if we find him, we kill him. Ok got it... Yes I have my gun, I know I should of used it in the car..."
Then his voice started fading off and I couldn't make out the words, but now I know that if they find me, they kill me. Let's hope I don't see anyone for a while. I was safe again, somehow I ended up getting away from all that's coming for me. I think after a while he gave up finding me.
Once it reached morning, I decided to move. After a while I found a lake, and I thought that I must of smelt horrible, from the smoke in the car, and being lost for a few days. So I went swimming. After that, I had to eat something, I've found a few fruits along my hide away run, but nothing huge, so I've been extremely hungry, I continued walking, and searching for food, I found some berries, and an apple tree, and I ate lots, and brought some for my walk. I was lost before, but now I was completely lost, I haven't seen anyone for miles, which might be a good thing.
A few days went by, and I kept on searching for food and water, and places to sleep. But once I reached a small little creek, I saw a tent that was set up, it looked like its been their for a long time. I walked up, and I could hear something moving. I pulled back the curtain and was extremely surprised, and I jumped at what I saw.--------------------------------
Sorry I ended there, but it leaves a little suspense for the next chapter, I hope you're enjoying my stories, and I'd like to thank you once a going for reading this story, comment what you think is in the tent?
Thank you
