"Woah" Ginny exclaimed

"What?" I ask, slightly startled by her reaction. Surely that couldn't be to the necklace only.

She moves me so I am looking into the mirror in my room. I look at myself, my hair no longer resembling an unmanageable bush, but looks darker and smoother. My facial features are still recognisable as my own but seem to be sharper and my constantly pale skin has a slight tan to it.

"I felt a rush of warmth coming over me once I had clasped the necklace. It must've been a removal of a glamour charm." I replied, in awe of the power of this tiny necklace.

"You know what I want to do Gin. I'm not going to actively look for them. Not yet at least." I state, my voice certain which it hadn't been during this whole ordeal.

"Look at Granger, not micromanaging the situation. If that's what you want to do Mimi, I'm here for you." Ginny reassures.

*2 weeks later - Mid August*

I thought it was time I started prepping for Hogwarts. I got a letter from Professor McGonagall yesterday stating that she would like me to be the head girl and that all the benefits of being the head girl will be spoken about on the train.

This knocked some sense into me and made me realise how unprepared I am for going back to Hogwarts! I owl Ginny and Harry and see if they want to go into Diagon Alley to get all our things ready, they owl back that they want to but they want to bring Ron. I agree, I'm all for the attempt to be friends. If only he wasn't becoming such a misogynistic pig, it would be so much easier.

I meet them in the Cauldron and we go through together. We make it through to Flourish and Blotts together, and Madame Malkins. We then decide to go to Fortescue's for some ice cream. As I sat down with my mint chocolate ice cream, I felt my necklace start to move. This startled me but then I looked up and from relatively far away I could see my brother.

I know he will have the linked-up necklace on. The letter said that he got it on his 18th Birthday. Since we are nearly 20, there's no doubt he has it. I try to stay preoccupied with my ice cream and try to kick Ginny under the table and get her attention.

"Ow! What was that for?!" Harry whines, clearly I had missed who I wanted to get.

"Oh please, Harry! You can fight in a war but an accidental kick to the leg is too much?" I snarked back, I didn't mean to snap but I was preoccupied. While the boys were busy complaining, I tapped Ginny's hand and looked back up at Blaise, who I could now tell was looking for me.

As he got closer, I decided I was going to acknowledge him. I stood up rather abruptly, everyone at my table watching where I was going. I walk up to Blaise, and he notices me.

I suddenly get overwhelmed and I just hug my brother. Even though I barely know him, it felt like home.

The current feeling of comfort was interrupted by some inane yelling coming from Fortescue's.

"What the bloody hell does she think she's doing?!" I look over and see Ron red in the face yelling at Harry and Ginny.

Ginny is sat there with a smile on her face and I can tell she's trying not to laugh, she has always found Ron's outbursts hilarious. Harry just looks a little bit shell-shocked.

"What is she doing, fraternising with a damn death eater! Are they together?!' at this point, Ginny bursts out laughing, which doesn't help the situation. 'This isn't bloody funny Ginerva! Are they - I can't even say it! It's disgusting!"

Ginny who is practically on the floor, howling at the state of her brother manages to say, "Get over yourself you prick. He is her brother, so that's about as likely as me getting with your dumb face."

I go red in the face slightly as Ron walks off on the whole group. I ask Blaise if he would like to sit down as I try to explain to Harry what is going on. He sits, looking rather uncomfortable, and we wait for Ginny to calm down.

"Harry, are you okay?" I ask

"Urm. Yeah, I guess it is just a bit of a shock Mione. Have you been lying to us for this long?" He asks back, trying to figure it all out.

"No! No, I was clearing out a box in my parent's old place and found a letter from my biological mum. It turns out that I am Blaise's sister, and that the Grangers had adopted me." I explain, trying to keep it as simple as possible.

"But you're still you, right?" He confirmed.

"Yes, I'm still me, none of that changes."
