It was Monday.

Yes.

Five days without seeing him.

It was painful, believe me.

But I was so busy with school paper.

Had to study for exams, do an essay, projects, read books.

Five really busy days.

My stress levels were high.

It all changed when I was walking home from college.

There he was.

On the bench.

Our bench.

With a damn cigarette on his mouth.

I remember being pissed at that.

I hated watching him smoke.

I went home to drop my bag.

I remember that I ran to the park.

I didn't want him to leave without us talking first.

Luck was on my side that day.

He was still on the bench when I arrived.

I sat down next to him.

Silence surrounded us.

Mixing with the smoke coming out of his nostrils.

"Hi"

I was surprised.

He talked first.

To say I was happy was an understatement.

"Hey,"

The smile never left my face.

"So..."

It got awkward.

And to make it more awkward I opened my mouth.

And let me tell you, it was the best thing I ever did.

"I haven't had lunch yet, want to join me?"

Liam looked at me, not saying a single word.

He shrugged.

"Yeah, why not?"

My heart almost stopped right then and there.

I remember that I had to keep counting till ten to calm myself.

"So, where do you want to go?"

I could care less where we went.

I just wanted to be with him.

So I said, "Wherever you want."

"How about you decided this time?"

How could I go against what he said?

"I feel like cooking. I could cook lunch for us?"

Liam just laughed, shaking his head.

He tended to do that a lot.

I noticed.

"Sure"

Looking back at it now, I'm quite proud of myself.

Didn't know I had it in myself.

When we arrived at my flat, he said he liked it.

I was satisfied.

While I cooked, he asked if he could smoke on the balcony.

Me being me, I couldn't say no to him.

I nodded.

He smiled, walking towards the balcony.

I watched as he put the cigarette in his mouth, lighting it up.

There was one thing that I couldn't stop looking at.

No, it wasn't the smoke.

His lips.

Man, did I want to kiss his lips.

I was done cooking as soon as he stepped back into the kitchen.

We ate.

He complimented my cooking.

I was a blushing mess.

We finished eating.

I cleaned everything.

He helped.

When we were done, we sat on the couch.

"So, Harry. I have a feeling that we will meet again, so might as well plan it, right?"

I was so shocked that I couldn't speak.

"I'm throwing a party tomorrow and I wanted to know if you want to come"

I was happy, more than happy.

I nodded, eagerly.

"Sure, I'll come."

I said, trying to play it cool.

How hilarious.

Now I know why Liam used to make fun of me.

Yeah, back to the story.

Liam wrote his address on a paper he found on my table and added his number.

He said he had to leave.

I nodded.

Crying on the inside.

I led him to the door.

We said our goodbyes.

He walked away.

I watched, smiling.

Knowing that we would be definitely meeting again.
