As they were getting ready, the members of BabyMonster were fussing around, worried about their first performance. Chiquita, the youngest of the group, was the most worried. She ran around the room with the members' eyes following her.
"What if I fall? What if I get hurt? What if someone's hair COMES ON MY FACE?" she asked, still pacing around the room.
"What? How can you get hurt on sta-" Rora started, looking confused.
"What if I FALL OFF?" Chiquita asked, with a horrified look on her face, making the members laugh. Rami came out of the dressing room.
"Fall off what?" Rami asked, looking confused.
"The- the stage, what else?" Chiquita asked. It was her turn to look confused. Surely, Rami couldn't be that dumb.
"Don't overthink it, Chiquita. You'll be fine. We'll be fine!" Rami said, looking at the mirror, adjusting her dress.
"I can't! What if I-" Chiquita started, only to be interrupted by Ahyeon walking towards her.
"Chiquita! Calm down," Ahyeon interrupted, shaking Chiquita's shoulders. "We're gonna be fine"
Chiquita's tense shoulders relaxed.
"Okay, thanks, unnie," Chiquita answered, smiling widely. Ahyeon smiled back. The rest of the girls were looking at them with adoration in their eyes. Their manager came in.
"Okay, girls, time for you to wrap up, get ready fast! This is your first performance, and I expect nothing but good from you girls, okay? Now, go on out! Good luck!" Their manager wished, smiling. All the girls smiled back.
"Thankyou, manager-nim," They wished back, bowing.
Ahyeon and Chiquita's solo performance came first. They had been preparing for it for a long time, and were very excited. It was time for them to go out. Chiyeon walked onto the stage, looking down. The music started and Chiquita sang the first verse.
"Time for us to say goodbye,
There's no 'I don't want to',
We have to," Chiquita sang, looking up at Ahyeon.
"Say goodbye?
Maybe we have time,
What if we do?" Ahyeon sang, looking up at Chiquita.
"I wish we did,
This is for us," Chiquita sang, walking towards Ahyeon.
"Stay here,
Don't leave,
I don't know what I would do," Ahyeon sang, walking towards Chiquita.
"I wish I could,
But silence has it's end,
I can't stay, not anymore," Chiquita sang, taking Ahyeon's hands.
"Me too,
I wish you could," Ahyeon sang, looking down.
"A secret I longed to tell,
is finally told," Chiquita sang, looking down as well.
"But it's just the beginning,
We can soar the skies,
together," Both of them sang in different notes beautifully, while looking up at eachother.
"You don't have to help me fly," Ahyeon sang.
"I'll always help you fly," Chiquita echoed.
"'Cause next time we'll soar the skies together,
you aren't alone,
I'll always be there," Ahyeon sang, smiling.
"You'll always be there?" Chiquita sang.
"I'll always be there," Ahyeon sang, taking Chiquita's hand while walking forwards.
"I always will," Ahyeon finished, smiling at the audience, still holding Chiquita's hand.
The audience was quite, but suddenly stood up, applauding. The applause was so loud, that Ahyeon and Chiquita were crying because of how well it went. They looked at eachother and smiled before turning back to the audience, bowing, and walking backstage to their members.
"Oh my gosh, you guys were so good!" Ruka exclaimed, after practically jumping on them with pride.
"Yeah, your practice was all worth it!" Pharita told them, smiling widely.
"Yeah, guys, you aced it!" Rora exclaimed. Rami was blabbing on and on about how good they were while straight up bawling.
"Thanks, guys," Chiquita said, smiling widely. "But we should probably change now, our group performance is up!"
"Yeah," Ahyeon agreed, going into the dressing room, with Chiquita going into the next dressing room. After they got dressed, they came out, getting many compliments from the rest. They all went into the backstage waiting room. Their manager came in, looking as happy as ever.
"Good job, girls! You guys were great! Well, it's time for your group performance! Good luck," their manager wished, smiling widely.
"Thankyou, manager-nim," They wished back while bowing, also smiling widely. The manager walked out.
"Okay, guys," Ruka said, turning towards the rest. " This is our first performance, and we practiced hard for it. So, let's try our best! Hwaiting!" She said, smiling.
"Hwaiting!" The rest yelled.
"Time for you guys to come out!" Their manager yelled, from outside.
They wished each other good luck and went on to the stage, ready with an amazing performance.
