I froze. New guardian? I couldn't be a guardian, I was too dangerous. I looked back at the pale boy.
"No I'm not. You must be looking for someone else." I responded, shaking my head.
"Actually, I'm pretty sure it's you." He insisted. "This place is amazing, by the way."
"If you knew what I have done, you wouldn't want me to be a guardian." I stated and started walking away.
"Please just think about it. Your abilities are incredible." He pushed.
"Fine. I'll think about it." I muttered, walking away from the winter spirit.
"So what drove you up here?" Jack frost asked.
I sighed and stopped walking, not really wanting to relive the recent events.
"I exposed my powers to the entire kingdom. Now they know I'm a monster." I grimiced.
"This is amazing. How could they think you are a monster?" He asked.
"I freeze anything I touch. How am I not a monster?" I reasoned.
"Freezing everything you touch doesn't make you a monster. It just means you don't know how to control it yet." He stated. "I could teach you." He added.
I spun around to look at him, hope filling every part of my being.
"You would do that?" I asked excitedly. He smiled and nodded, holding out his hand and sending another snowflake my way.
"When do we begin?" I gushed.
"Now" Jack said with a smirk.
Jack floated over to stand across from me in my ballroom area, a perfect place to throw around snow.
"We will start small and work to bigger things later. Create a snowflake in your hand. I want you to hold it there for a minute then try to make it disappear." He demonstrated.
I took a deep breath and held out my hand, creating a delicate, shining snowflake. I kept it in one spot as Jack watched.
"Now make it melt." Jack commanded.
I looked at the little snowflake. I focused, willing the snowflake to go away but no matter how hard I concentrated, there was no change. Jack seemed to see my struggle.
"Try feeling warmth move through your body. Let the warmth travel through you to the snow." He guided.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I opened my eyes and looked at the snowflake. I imagined warmth moving through me. The thought of warmth made me think of Anna and her warm smile. I smiled at the thought and the snowflake disappeared from the air.
"I did it." I gasped.
Jack smiled and held out his hand, creating a snowball. I made one in my hands and looked at him, eager for him to tell me what to do.
"Toss the snowball into the air and imagine it to burst into small snowflakes." He ordered.
I looked at the snowball and tossed it straight up into the air. I thought about what Jack had said and the snowball burst, creating snow that slowly floated down towards us. I smiled looking at the beauty that had come for such a simple thing.
"That's great, Elsa." Jack complimented.
I grinned at him. We continued our little lesson. He taught me so many things that I could do with my powers. We had been working well into the day when I yawned. I realized that I hadn't slept in over twenty-four hours.
"You should get some sleep. We have been working for a while. You could use a break." He stated.
"You should sleep too." I responded.
He chuckled and shook his head.
"I don't sleep. I don't need it." He declared.
"Ever?" I asked, stunned.
"Ever." He smirked.
I shrugged and started walking to a room where I had created a bed that was cushioned with soft snow, too tired to worry about anything the boy said. I laid my head down on a snow pillow and instantly fell to sleep.
