Chapter III

Eva's POV:

I've officially decided PT is not for the weak. Yesterday, after Katheryn took off my brace and undressed my scars (which was much less scary due to the advice of a certain blonde basketball player) she started making sure everything was healing good. Later on we started with the flexion, and if Paige was right about anything its that bending my knee hurt like hell. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of those things in which the time just seems to fly so after an hour and a half of grueling physiotherapy I was on my way back to my apartment.

For the next week or so I've taken off my all of my classes. My teachers were all very understanding about my current situation so they all gave me extensions on each of my tests and assignments. As thankful as I am for their lenience, it's left me incredibly bored. I only have PT three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, which means that on Tuesdays and thursdays while Chloe is in class I'm all alone. Having already binged enough TV and watched enough tik toks for a lifetime, I've decided to convert to one of my favorite hobbies: Stalking.

Yesterday, Paige followed me and requested my private account. Obviously I immediately followed her back and accepted her, only an idiot wouldn't. However, I was so drained from my PT that I hadn't even stalked her.

Taking my phone and opening Instagram I start thuroughly looking through the blondes socials. Her main page includes mostly basketball and NIL deals, with the acception of some posts from her travels. While scrolling through her page I've come up with the very clear conclusion that Paige looks very, very good in her uniform. Maybe it's the fact her arms are on display, or the way the shorts look... I dont think i'm going to read too far into that though.

Switching gears from her main page, I move on to look through her private. This one is definately more fun to look through. It showcases more of her personality with posts about her friends and family taking up the feed. There's still a little bit of basktball sprinkled throughout but when you're one of the faces of women's college basketball thats to be expected.

While scrolling through her private page I make an ammature mistake and I accidentally like a post from a year and a half ago. Mortified, I turn off my phone, place it next to me, and turn back on the show I was watching. I pleade in my head for Paige not to notice my slip up. Thirty minutes pass and I think I've managed to avoid devastating embarrassment until my phone pings and I open it to the notifiation:

Paige's POV:

While out for lunch with Azzi, Nika, Ice and KK, our conversation is interupted by an alert on my phone. Opening it I see that Evangeline liked one of my posts. Initially I'm confused because I dont remember posting anything on my Private recently, but all the confusion is cleared up when I click on the notification and see that she liked one of my posts from more than a year ago. Understanding that she had to have been stalking, I finish up with the conversation we were having and let the girls keep talking. Seeing that their content to carry on withought me in the conversation I pull out my phone to text Evangeline.

Confronting her on her stalking seems to be a good enough reason to text the girl. I'd been meaning to reach out to see how her PT went and this has given me the perfect opportunity to get in touch with her without seeming like I'm obsessed.

"Hey P, what are you smiling at" Azzi calls over to me, gaining the attention of the whole group.

As soon as Azzi made KK aware that I was doing absolutely anything other than listen to her ramble, I was bombardes with questions and attempts to look at my phone. I don't know what compelled me to hide my phone from them, Evangeline and I's conversation was harmless. Maybe I just wanted to keep her my little secret, plus Azzi would go insane if she knew I was texting her.

"PAIGE SHOW ME PAIGE PLEASE" Kk said, raising her voice a little to loud for my liking.

"Kk girl calm down, it's non of your business" I replied while laughing"let's just get back to lunch ok"

I'm met with a chorus of agreement and we all go back to eating, all the while I can't stop thinking about Uconn's star defender.

Eva's POV:

"Eva I'm home" I hear Chlo say from our kitchen.

"CHLOE GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW" I exclaim, only realizing afterwards that it might be concerning to hear that out of context coming from a cripple...

I hear Chloe run over "Eva are you ok, what's wrong!!" She said with concern.

"Paige fucking Bueckers texted me"

"Shut the fuck up, don't play with me girl"

"I'm not kidding" I reply, signalling for her to come sit with me in bed.

Sitting next to me I start to show her our short conversation. She reads with excitement making comments about every single thing Paige says.

"So you're in love with her right?" She asks me

"What no!? I barely now her."

"Be so for real, she fine and the best women's college ball player out there right now. I'm straight and I'm in love with her" she exclaims in with a look of bewilderment.

"I mean... she is fine. Like REALLY fine" I mumble.

"I think you should make a move on her when she visits at physio" Chloe's suggests with a smirk

I roll my eyes and shut her down. I don't need to fucus on anything but my recovery right now. But, if Paige keeps showing up that might be difficult.

A/N:
