A sliver of moonlight gently bathes Jungkook's face as Taehyung wheels him to the car. Today, he is finally being discharged after months of hospitalization.

Taehyung helps Jungkook into the front seat, then puts the crutches and wheelchair in the back. As Jungkook settles into the seat, his heart sinks as he surveys the interior, finding it to be a perfect match for his preferences.

The sleek design and thoughtful details speak to his tastes in every way. It's a beautiful car from the outside, and inside, it promises to be something Jungkook would love with just a single glance.

Yet, as he takes it all in, a pang of guilt and regret wash over him. "It's stunning," he blurts out, the words escaping before he could stop them.

"I'm glad you liked it," Taehyung replied, his smile faltering slightly as he looked away, attempting to shift the conversation. "Shall we go?"

Looking at Taehyung's response, Jungkook couldn't help but berate himself for not showing more interest when Taehyung had first bought the car.

The weight of missed opportunities and the realization of his oversight stirred a mixture of frustration and self-blame within him

As Taehyung drives past the familiar roads leading to their apartment, a heavy feeling settles in the pit of his stomach.

After their short conversation, he absolutely hated the idea of entering his previous home. He wishes he could just take Jungkook to his new apartment, which he rented after their breakup, but it remains unkempt.

With most of his time spent caring for Jungkook in the hospital, juggling work remotely, and occasional trips to the office, he hadn't had the chance to tend to his space. Plus, his apartment was much smaller than the one they once shared.

Also, Jungkook's mother had tidied up jungkook's place before she and his father urgently left for business abroad, leaving Taehyung no choice but to steer the roads he hadn't taken in the past months.

Jungkook sits quietly beside Taehyung, feeling the tension in the air like a heavy fog. Every passing moment weighs on him, burdened by the silence between them and the chances they've let slip away.

With a deep breath, he turns to Taehyung, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Taehyung," he begins, his tone filled with remorse, "I... I'm sorry." Taehyung's grip on the steering wheel tightens slightly, but he doesn't respond, giving Jungkook space to continue.

"I'm sorry for not seeing past my stubbornness," Jungkook admits, his voice tinged with regret. "I'm also sorry for being so impulsive, for breaking up-"

Taking a sharp turn to the right, Taehyung interrupts Jungkook. "Let's talk at home, Jungkook," he says, his gaze fixed on the road ahead, hesitating to confront the impending conversation.

"No," Jungkook argues. "It's been weeks since I've been trying to apologize and explain myself. You take care of me day and night, but our relationship isn't improving-"

"You want to improve our relationship, huh?" Taehyung responds with a tinge of bitterness. "That's what I was trying to do when you broke up with me, Jungkook. I'm scared that if I try anything, you might ask me to leave. This time, you won't even have to break up."

"I would never do that again," Jungkook desperately explains.

"You did it once, what are the chances you won't do that again?" Taehyung retorts, his voice laced with skepticism, his hands gripping the steering wheel ever so tightly that his knuckles turn white.

"Please, Taehyung, you have to trust me," Jungkook pleads, his voice tinged with urgency.

"Did you trust me when I asked you to trust me?" Taehyung counters, unable to control himself any longer.
