The sudden cheers and hats are thrown to the air as y/n has freshly graduated top of their class at UA High. They run to hug and their fellow graduates, their friends, all congratulating y/n on their valedictorian speech. Then parting the sea of people All Might with his iconic smile coming towards y/n. He had been a mentor for them for the longest time and had become basically a father figure for them.
"Congratulations y/n! I look forward to having you as my sidekick!" He said with a thumbs up on y/n's face.
"Hahah, thank you All Might, I'm very excited to get started" y/n answered and as they headed off to a restaurant to celebrate, on the way y/n kept thinking back on all the memories, the choosing their hero name, work studies with All Might and the other pros and of course afterward hearing the truth about his quirk and his offer to y/n to be the next bearer. It wasn't easy being at the top even though they were just a student they had been acting and doing missions like a pro since they got their provisional license. But they were ready.
The restaurant was a hidden gem, was being the key word because ever since the public discovered that All Might frequented there, it has always been full. Nonetheless, as they passed through the crowds of fans cheering for both of them while the owner of the restaurant opened the door and congratulated y/n as they came in. The owner took them to their usual booth and waiting there were other pro heroes waving and smiling at them, including a few young heroes who y/n didn't recognize.
"Congrats y/n! We've ordered some tokoyaki and yakitori for the table" Present Mic said as they sat down. The booth was in the back corner so they can have a bit of privacy there now sat. Present Mic, Eraser Head, Ectoplasm, Midnight, a young pro heroine, a young pro hero, y/n and All Might.
"Thank you! I'm sorry I don't think I've actually met you two, I'm y/n" Y/n says gesturing at the young heroes.
"Well I'm Mirko! And he's Hawks, we've also just become pro heroes! Ain't that cool?"
"Nice to meet you y/n"
Y/n smiles, suddenly realizing that for the first time in a while they can relax and enjoy this celebration. As food started to come the pros began to talk about work and the young heroes turned to each other to talk amongst themselves. "So y/n what's your quirk?" Asked Mirko with a curious twitch to her ears. "Well..." Using their quirk an opalescent energy flowed from y/n's hands and began to fold a napkin to a paper crane while continuing to explain "I can manipulate things, summon things... it's like magic, actually that's what I call it. Oh however I've learned how to communicate telepathically, I think it has something to do with manipulating my thoughts or something but as of right now I can only do it if I'm touching someone " As y/n sets the paper crane in front of Hawks.
"Hey that's pretty good" Hawks said while studying the paper crane.
"Thank you! And.. you know I was about to ask what are your quirks but" y/n comments gesturing to Mirko's ears and Hawks' wings. They all chuckle at this interaction.
"Well yes, my quirk is just rabbit" Mirko says while showing off her ears, Hawks puffs up his wings as the feathers grab him another yakitori skewer "Mine, and arguably cooler, is fierce wings"
"That is absolutely bull, I can kick your chicken ass anytime, anywhere" added Mirko.
"Y/n which do you think is cooler?" asked Hawks
"Uhhh..." y/n stuttered
"No pressure but this will be a defining moment in our friendship" joked Mirko
They all laughed as they wait for a reply
"I mean... both of your quirks are great, but-"
"There's always a but" joked Hawks
