It's Been a Long Time

In their slumber they would dream of each other and a long life filled with nothing but happiness and health. ring ring. Where they would hold each other in their arms all day... ring ring... A life where their dreams all came true.... ring ring

Y/n woke up first recognizing their own cell phone ringtone, looking at who was calling while their eyes unblurry Hawks was also slowly waking up.

"Ugh what who... what's that," he said grogly. Y/n rubbed their eyes and saw that Night Eye was calling them. With a scoff, they laid down next to Hawks and showed him the phone.

"No way... answer it and put it on speaker," Hawks said mischievously. Y/n laughed and did so.

"Nigh Eye?"

"Y/N! Please I'm so sorry, please I never meant to hurt you I love you!" Night Eye cried over the phone.

"Are you serious?" Y/n said

"I'm so serious please, I need you, you mean everything to me and to All Might, imagine how great we can be all three of us!!" He continued to cry, and then it clicked. Night Eye never wanted anything to do with y/n, he only wanted a chance to be even closer to All Might than he already was.

"Ew," Hawks said. The phone went silent then he hung up. Hawks and y/n exchanged looks and just began laughing, then Hawks pulled y/n closer for more cuddles. His hair was so messy, his voice had that raspiness of someone who had just woken up, and he looked so beautifully sleepy that y/n couldn't help but hold his face and pull him closer. Hawks did the same, his hands were so soft and safe. Once again every so slightly moving in closer and closer, lips craving each other... ring ring  y/n's phone was going off again, they sighed angrily and saw who was calling. It was All Might.

"All Might? Is everything okay?"

"No come to your house now!" He sounded urgent. Without even hesitating y/n jumped out of bed and ran to the balcony and jumped off falling a bit before catching themselves with their quirk and flying as fast as they could to their home while their mind was racing a million miles per hour about what could've happened, did Night Eye do something? Is Mirko okay? Is All Might okay? Did he get hurt? What happened? Y/n saw following behind them was Hawks not quite able to keep up pace since he was still without a few feathers.

Y/n saw their house in the distance, a small townhouse with a messy garden. Nothing looked out of place. They dove down from the sky and barely stopped themselves at the door crashing in as all of their friends and fellow heroes were there as they all yelled.

"SURPRISE!!!"

All Might stepped up with a cake in hand poorly written 'official hero'

"Y/n, today is the day! You are no longer my sidekick. You are officially a hero who will soon have a spot in the top 10 billboard!" All Might announced.

While everyone celebrated y/n was panting holding their chest as it felt like their heart was about to jump out of it. They could barely hear what everyone was saying over the pounding in their head.

"So... there's no emergency?" Said y/n while holding on to the now broken door frame.

"NOPE! Just you now are part of the heroes!" Mirko exclaimed.

Y/n looked around at the heroes who were now realizing that they almost gave y/n a heart attack. They raised one finger as to say 'one second' and ran down the steps to the garden where they proceeded to throw up. All of the heroes gasped, Hawks finally landed and saw the commotion.

"Are they puking out of happiness?" Hawks asked

"No," Eraserhead piped in. "All Might made them think it was an emergency so they probably over-exerted their quirk..."
