A car is flipped over heading towards civilians when an opalecent whip grabs it and hurls back at the villain that threw it. The Mage y/n's hero name now stands with opalescent whips in each hand panting. Their outfits are reminiscent of a witch or a wizard with shades of purples and blacks and details to match their opalescent powers.

"You missed!" y/n yells at the villain whose quirk seems to be some sort of porcupine or hedgehog as their back is completely covered in hair-like spikes, he growls at y/n and charges them. Y/n jumps at the last second tangeling the whips around the villain's throat landing behind him and pulling on it. He grabs the wips and uses to throw y/n at a store breaking the windows. Y/n grunts in pain

"C'mon Hawks where the fuck are you?"

They get up and run towards the villain as red feathers like arrows pierce the villain distracting him enough for y/n to punch him across the face with enough force to knock him out. Y/n quickly ensnares the villain with their whips and looks up as Hawks starts coming down.

"Sorry, I'm late!"

"Hawks! You were supposed to be back from patrol 20 minutes ago where were you?!"

"Getting food!"

"Are you serious?"

"Wait hold still you have a torn in your shoulder," Hawks says and he approaches y/n and plucks a spike. Y/n yelps in pain and turns to Hawks furious but before they can start lecturing him the police show up to apprehend the villain.

"Mage! Thank you for your help again, it's been hectic since All Might left, when did you say he was coming back?" the policeman asked

"Later today, and no worries it's my pleasure to help you all"

Y/n turns to see hawks hunched over a planter, they walk over to him

"Hawks what are you doing" Y/n asks with a frustrating tone. Hawks immediately stands up and turns with a bouquet of flowers with their roots and dirt dangling.

"Here I got you flowers to say I'm sorry for being late" Hawks smiles innocently at y/n, who just looks over Hawks' shoulder to see holes in the planter from where the flowers were. Noticing this Hawks extends his wings to hide it as y/n raises an eyebrow.

"Hawks... put them back..."

Hawks gives a defeated sigh as he turns around and puts the flowers back

"I really am sorry"

"That's okay you can buy me lunch"

"Actually to show how sorry I am, let me make you dinner, I know you have to go meet with All Might in a bit so just come over to my place for dinner and I'll make it up to you!"

Y/n smiled and sighed, "alright dinner it is, I'll see you later okay?"
Hawks waved at them and left to start his shift. It has been basically a year since they met but Hawks, y/n, and Mirko became best friends. However, since Mirko was busy with her own missions when All Might was called for an emergency mission Hawks and y/n took over his job to protect this city. They've become inseparable doing many missions and patrols together to fill this vacuum that All Might had left.

Y/n waited at the port waving when they saw All Might in his normal form. Y/n had since changed from their hero attire, being able to change outfits with their quirk meant they never had to worry about standing out in a crowd because they forgot a change of clothes. They hug each other and head to a cab to get lunch together. The ride there is quiet except for a 'how you've been' here and there. All Might had been called to this mission urgently, he didn't give any details to y/n on his whereabouts or the goal of the mission. But now that All Might is back means the mission is complete and he can finally talk about it.
