"The Crimson hex stone..." she mumbled, looking at the picture of the red amulet.
Running a hand through her hair, she looked down, a mix of frustration and revelation coloring her tone. "An ancient, cursed, artifact you say?"
"That is right," Kaito said, his fingers closing the ancient tome with a soft thud.
"You mean that bastard gave me this, and due to that I-..." Alexiel paused for a second, her voice heavy with emotion, after getting to know that the amulet she took as a token of love was actually the cause of her sufferings, "...I am still stuck in this loop,"
Kaito's eyes softened, his voice laced with empathy, "Love is said to be a double-edged sword, unfortunately for you, it was a sleek dagger that too, cruelly aimed at you."
A cold silence, enveloped them before Alexiel broke it, "How?... how are we going to break it?"
Kaito looked toward her for some moments, contemplating, before moving closer, "The celestial events of twin moons is close, it is one of the most mysterious event and magic is also the most powerful, if you want to get freed from this curse, we have to get our hands on the artifact by then,"
"And when is this event?" she asked.
"In two days,"
Alexiel let out a sardonic laugh. "Perfect," she muttered sarcastically, her mind racing. Then, a moment of clarity struck her. "Wait, I might have a plan. But first, do you know where the amulet is now?"
"Yui's room," Kaito said confidently making her surprised.
"Wha- how do you-" only to be silenced, when he pressed his finger gently against her lips,
"Shh, remember what we talked about asking questions,"
Her eyes darted toward his fingers for some seconds, before taking a step back clearing her throat, right, he took the oath of Yukikuni that he will do his utmost to help her, that too truthfully.
"Alright," she said.
"So what's your solution, sneaking in the palace? though I suppose you know, but I am telling anyway, sneaking into the palace will be dangerous,"
"Believe me, it is the least of my concern for now," she said, before taking out a letter from one of her pockets, "moreover, I have the perfect reason to go."

"The invitation to the banquet, huh?" Kaito said, eyeing the golden increate design on the white envelope.
"They are seriously messed up, aren't they? To send the invitation where they are gonna announce the new fiancée to the ex..."
"Well, what can I say..." she said shrugging, "an opportunity is an opportunity,"
In her past lives, she had torn the invitation into shreds, just like how it did with her heart. Now not so much, it felt common and serve as a golden piece for her.
"Anyway, now for the main part," she said, stepping closer, "can I?"
Kaito leaned in with a handsome smirk resting on his face, "Why not, my lady?"
"Idiot," she mumbled before closing her eyes, "Speciem Mutare," with that she placed a soft kiss on his cheek. Morpho's veil require close contact for transforming another person other than user.
A bright silver light engulfed him, before fading away, his black hairs were transformed into long silver hairs tied with a blue Motoyui string in a ponytail, his silver eyes turned into a shade of sapphire. His clothes were also transformed into a navy-blue formal attire.
Alexiel eyes gave him a once over before exhaling a breath, "you are going to catch some hearts there," she remarked with a smirk.
"How I wish, one of them will be yours," he said, forwarding his hand while bowing, which she grasps.
"That is already half done,"
