I sat and zoned out, fiddling with my pencil as my boring brother droned on and on about cursed techniques you would learn at grade-3 despite that I'm grade-1 and Megumi is grade-2. "Anyways, first year you guys are going to compete in the Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event!" Finally something that perked my interests.

A fight.

I know that Aoi Todo , grade-1 , will be there and hopefully he'll be a real challenge.

~After Class~

"Y/N wait up!" I heard the sound of Yuji's voice calling on me, "Hey, Yuji" I turned around to see him running to catch up with me,  "You know, Yuji, you might have a hard time at this event." I warned him as he rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous smile. "How so?" He chuckled, "Aoi Todo, grade-1 sorcerer, I've heard he's ruthless but none the less I can handle it no problem." I smirked.

Megumi and Nobara caught up to us. As we walked towards the dorms we were stopped by a group and a large man spoke up, "So, this years competition is this small?" I looked up at the large figure. "And you are?" "Aoi Todo. grade-1" He smirked while looking down at me. "Huh, You ain't as strong as I imagined." I laughed as I walked past him. "Where do you think you're going?" He tried to grab me but was stopped by my infinity. "I know who you are. Y/N Gojo. The less famous brother of the famous Satoru Gojo." He looked at me, " I wonder if you're little blindfold is protected by you're infinity." As he quickly reached for my headband and managed to take it off. "What do you think you're doing?" I gave him a glace and my crimson eyes glinted in the beaming rays of the sun. "Hah! You're weak if I can take that stupid thing off!" He mocked me, He mocked me, He mocked...me?

"Weak?" I turned slowly but as I did he began charging for Megumi.  "Wrong move." I sped  in front of Megumi and grabbed Aoi. "Strength is not measured by the magnitude of one's power, but by the depth of one's conviction to protect others. Dark Void Convergence." As I said this a swirling vortex of cursed energy blasted toward Aoi and consumed the light around him. "Aoi!" Mai shouted. "How dare you?" she pulled out a pistol and shot at me but my infinity stopped it.

I could feel the adrenaline surging through my veins as I held Aoi Todo in place, my cursed energy swirling around us in a chaotic dance. The look of surprise on his face was almost satisfying, but there was a fire in his eyes that told me he wasn't done yet.

Mai's bullets hung suspended in the air, trapped by my Infinity. She clicked her tongue in frustration, her pistol trembling in her grip. "You're gonna regret that, Gojo!" she snarled, eyes narrowing with fury.

Yuji stepped forward, a hand raised in a calming gesture. "Hey, hey, let's not make this a full-blown battle right here. We have the event for that, right?" he suggested, his voice laced with an awkward chuckle.

Aoi, still pinned by my Dark Void Convergence, grinned through the struggle. "You're not bad, Y/N Gojo," he said, his voice strained but steady. "But don't think you've seen the last of me. This is just the beginning."

With a surge of strength, he broke free from my technique, dispersing the cursed energy around him with a forceful clap of his hands. I stepped back, intrigued and impressed despite myself. Aoi wasn't just talk; he had the power and the skill to back it up.

As the air cleared, the tension between us settled into something more focused, almost like an unspoken agreement. The Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event was going to be more than just a competition. It was going to be a proving ground.

I could see Megumi's shoulders relax as the immediate threat passed, but his eyes were still sharp and wary. Nobara, meanwhile, was glaring daggers at Mai, clearly ready to jump into a fight of her own if need be.

"Let's save the energy for the event," I said, shooting a pointed look at Aoi. "We can settle things then."

Aoi smirked, his bravado still intact. "Oh, we will. I'll make sure of it."

The day of the Exchange Event arrived, and the air buzzed with anticipation. Both schools lined up on opposite sides of the arena, the forest behind us dark and foreboding, promising a battlefield that was both challenging and dangerous. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, my excitement mounting.

Principal Gakuganji of Kyoto High stood at the center, announcing the rules of the first round: a simple team battle. Each team would aim to take out as many opposing team members as possible, and there were no restrictions on the use of techniques.

I glanced over at Aoi, who was flexing his muscles, ready for a fight. His gaze met mine, and he pointed a finger at me. "You and me, Y/N. Let's see who's stronger."

"Fine by me," I replied, a smirk spreading across my lips. "Let's see if you can back up all that talk."

The signal was given, and the battle began. Instantly, the forest came alive with the sounds of curses and battle cries. Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara charged forward, engaging their respective opponents, while I moved stealthily through the trees, my eyes locked on Aoi.

He spotted me immediately, a grin breaking out on his face as he lunged forward. "Boogie Woogie!" he shouted, clapping his hands. In an instant, he was right in front of me, his fist swinging toward my face with incredible speed.

I activated Infinity, stopping his punch mere inches from my nose. "You'll have to try harder than that," I taunted, twisting my body to counter with a roundhouse kick. Aoi blocked it with his forearm, the force of our clash sending ripples through the cursed energy around us.

"You're fast, I'll give you that," Aoi admitted, clapping his hands again. This time, we switched places, and I found myself on the receiving end of his powerful kick. I barely managed to block it with a barrier of cursed energy, the impact still sending me skidding back across the forest floor.

We continued to exchange blows, each move countered with another, the battle becoming a deadly dance of power and precision. Aoi's technique was formidable, but I was determined to show him just what the Gojo family was capable of.

"Enough playing around," I muttered, my hands forming a series of complex signs. "Infinite Collapse."

The air around us seemed to distort as I unleashed my technique, the space between us collapsing inward with a gravitational pull. Aoi's eyes widened in surprise as he was yanked toward the center, struggling against the invisible force.

But Aoi was not one to back down easily. "Boogie Woogie!" he shouted again, clapping his hands. In a flash, he swapped places with a tree branch, narrowly escaping the collapse of space.

"I've got more tricks up my sleeve, Y/N!" he laughed, charging at me again with renewed vigor.

I smirked, enjoying the thrill of a real challenge. "Good! I wouldn't want it any other way!"

We continued our intense battle, trading blows and techniques, pushing each other to our limits. I could feel my cursed energy fluctuating with every attack, my senses heightened to an almost painful degree. But amidst the chaos, I couldn't help but admire Aoi's tenacity. He was relentless, a true warrior in every sense.

Just as the battle reached its peak, a chilling presence swept over the arena. I paused, my breath hitching as I sensed the unmistakable aura of malevolent cursed energy. "Everyone, on guard!" I shouted, alerting the others.

From the shadows, Mahito, Hanami, and other cursed spirits emerged, their forms flickering in and out of sight like twisted phantoms. The forest seemed to darken with their presence, the temperature dropping as fear gripped the students.

Aoi and I exchanged a quick glance, our rivalry momentarily set aside. "Looks like we've got bigger problems," he said, his tone grim but focused.

"Agreed," I nodded, my hands already glowing with cursed energy. "Let's take them down—together."

As we turned to face the new threat, I could feel a strange sense of camaraderie forming between us. Aoi might have been my rival, but in that moment, we were allies, united against a common enemy.
