It was time for the Christmas disco.

I walked in knowing exactly what I was going to ask you.

I thought of giving it some time.

So I waited for all my friends to come and then asked if we could play truth or dare.

They knew where I was going with this and annoyed, said no.

You chuckled thankfully pushing me away.

But later I went up to you saying

'I promise I'll ask you a different question but you have to answer,'

You hesitantly agreed.

And maybe that was a bad idea.

'What's the last text you sent your crush?'

I asked hoping you would say what I wanted you to.

I had checked what you texted me about 5 times before asking you.

Surprisingly, you pulled out your phone to check.

You laughed and whispered in my ear

'I was meant to text alright shortened to alr but I wrote ale instead so I sent a separate text with an r and the star thing,'

I froze hearing every word.

I was expecting it, but it still felt so unexpected.

I definitely wasn't expecting the detail though.

I couldn't look at you as I replied with

'I know who it is,'
