Liam POV;
She glances at me, and up close, she's stunningly beautiful. I can't even process what I'm about to say.
"Oh, hey!" Instead of her, Park Chae-young, my best friend's sister, responded to my question.
"You have new friends here " I asked, looking at my crush.
"Yes, Oppa, they're from Serim High," Chae replied. Why isn't my crush answering me? Can't she see I'm talking to her?
"Oh, I see. Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends because your brother told me to keep an eye on you?" I said. My crush chuckled at that. Is it funny?
"Okay oppa." She introduced me to her other friends, and finally, to my crush. "She is Jennie. She is the best friend I mentioned before. And Jennie, this is Liam Oppa. He is my brother's best friend and also the captain of the basketball team."
"So, hey, I'm Liam Manoban," I introduced myself.
"I heard your name once," she replied. She seems too rude for someone with such an angelic face. And I would call her voice angelic if it didn't have a devilish tone?
Before I could say anything, one of my team members called me for practice."Chae, I need to head out now. See you at school," I said before leaving. "Okay, oppa, bye."
Before I left, I glanced at her one more time, and she was also looking at me with those dark blue eyes. Before she could enchant me with her gaze, I looked away and joined my friends.
"So, what's her name?" one friend teased me.
"Why would I tell you that?" I replied.
"Whoa, bro! Are you already jealous?" another friend joked, and they all laughed."Is she easy to get or hard to get?" another friend asked.
"I'd say definitely hard to get," I replied, looking at her."Hey, don't be upset, bro. She's not the only hard-to-get girl you've tried. You're Liam Manoban. You can get girls way easier than us," one friend reassured me, and another friend agreed.
Alright, Miss Jennie, let's play a game. I'll make you fall for me.
Jennie POV:
"He's really good-looking," Joy comments, gesturing towards the basketball player. But honestly, I'm not interested.
"Absolutely," Chae agrees, "he's the most popular guy in our school."
"Do you have a crush on him?" Nayeon asks.
"I used to have a crush on him," Chae reveals, "but not anymore, because he's like an older brother to me."
"Then you're lucky to have two handsome brothers," Joy replies.
"Chae, doesn't your brother also play basketball?" I inquire. I really hope they change the subject and stop talking about that guy.
"Yes, he does. But he's been sick lately, so he hasn't been able to practice. Do you miss my brother?" Chae teases.
"No, not at all. I was just curious," I quickly respond.
"Whatever," Chae mutters as she glances at the basketball team.
-----------------
Liam's eyes were glued to Jennie during his practice sessions. Jennie noticed, but she acted like she didn't. Maybe she's feeling nervous inside, even though she's trying to play it cool. The thought of the hottest guy at Dea-Ji High admiring her is hard to shake off. After a while of watching the basketball games, the girls are preparing to head out. They're just chilling by the basketball court, checking out the good-looking and fit boys.
------------------
The following day proceeded normally for everyone except Liam. His physical presence was in the classroom, but his mind was preoccupied with thoughts of himself and the angel, as well as dreams of their future together.Liam's POV:
"Why are you grinning like a fool?" My best friend, Park Jimin, inquired.
"Can't I smile anymore?" I retorted.
"You can smile, but there's no reason for it. Did you meet a new girl while I was away?" Jimin winked at me.
"He fell head over heels for a girl on the basketball court yesterday," Taehyung, who was standing behind us, chimed in. "He's been thinking about her, I guess."
"Who's the lucky girl that our heartthrob has fallen for?" Jimin teased, giving me a mocking look.
Before I could respond, Jungkook, Taehyung's seatmate, interrupted. "She must be a friend of your little sister's."
Without missing a beat, I replied, "Yes, she is. She's her best friend, she told me. She goes to Serim High. But just to clarify, I haven't fallen in love with anyone. She's just really attractive, that's all."
"Are you talking about Nayeon or Joy?" Jimin asked.
"Dude, you know them. And you never told me. And no, her name is Jennie," I said, ending my sentence with a smile.
"Oh no, bro, not her."
"Why? She wasn't that bad. Well, not even a little bit. She's an angel," I defended.
"Dude, she's a real devil. How did you come up with the idea of her being an angel?" I thought about how I would get back at Jimin for calling my baby a devil.
"What's wrong with you? She's an angel to me," I shot back.
"Angel, my ass. She slapped a guy so hard just because he said he liked her," Jimin said, looking at me with fear.
