Chapter 7

Liam POV;

"Oh Shit, I was really hoping for a peaceful vacation, but it seems like things have taken a turn," Taehyung and Jimin exclaimed simultaneously.

I glanced over to see what had caught their attention, and my smile quickly faded when I noticed Kai and his friends also present. Wait, are those Sehun, Chanyeol, Suho, Chen, and Baek-Hyun?

I'm have only three friends, while he has five. If we ever have a disagreement about Jennie, I know I'll be the one who loses. But Jungkook reassured me, saying he'll stand by my side till the end, like a true knight.

I'm grateful to have these three friends by my side.

As I glanced over, I noticed Kai waving at Jennie, and she looked back at me. I turned to Kai, and he waved at me too. Is he intentionally trying to annoy me? Because it sure feels like it. Just as I was about to start World War III, my mother called me, so I had to go inside.

Jennie POV;

My friends, my sister, her two best friends, and I decided to visit a nearby cafe close to our cottages.

After a short while, I noticed Liam arriving with his friends. Just as I was about to greet him, Kai showed up with his own group of friends.

Now, Liam and Kai are locked in a fierce gaze, as if they have some sort of intense rivalry going on in their minds. However, I can assure you that Liam is the only one taking it seriously, as Kai is simply teasing him.

Kai greeted them with a smirk, "Well, well, look who decided to show up."

"Hey there, Kai," Jimin replied, shooting him a playful look.

"Surprised to see us?" Taehyung chimed in, raising an eyebrow.

Kai chuckled, "Not really. Just didn't expect the whole gang to be here. And I'm not sure why Liam was invited to join the holiday, as he isn't really that close to us."

"Liam asked us to join him because we're all friends. Just like how your friends stick by your side. The Liam family and Jennie's family are as close as can be, like one big happy family." Taehyung remarked, shooting a glare at him.

"Ah, I see. Friends who are practically family. Well, we're a step ahead since we're future family members of jennie's family." Kai added with a smirk.

I glanced at him, noticing his attempt to provoke Liam. It was clear that Liam was getting really upset.

Jungkook inquired, "What do you mean by that?" after hearing the entire conversation.

With a mischievous wink, Kai confidently stated, "I am Jennie's future boyfriend. So once we tie the knot, we become family."

This was getting out of hand. He can't just do this to Liam.

Whispering to me, Rose urged, "Jennie, do something before Liam Oppa loses it with Kai."

Taking a stand, I declared, "Kai, we are not dating. And I have no plans of marrying anyone, alright?"

Teasingly, Kai responded, "I know, Jennie. That's why I said 'future'."

Taehyung chimed in, "Come on, Kai. Don't be so desperate. Jennie doesn't have feelings for you."

"Oh really? How can you be so sure that Jennie doesn't like me?" Kai challenged.

Nayeon interjected. "Jennie likes guys who are up for a challenge and will go to great lengths to win her over."

What on earth? Seriously, Nayeon, you too? Nayeon shot me a mischievous grin.

Joy chimed in, "Absolutely."
