Jaehyun: Where can I take her?

Mina looked up from the sleeping Eunbi's face to Jaehyun who was looking at the girl worriedly while stroking her hair. 

Mina: You can keep her here for a few days. When you're busy... I can take care of her. And the other way round.

Jaehyun: And if we're both on a mission?

He asked while finally looking up to meet Mina's eyes.

Jaehyun: We're the busiest members of our groups. You because you're good. Me because my father will do anything to avoid me. And I live in that house so I can't take her there... he'll kill me... or her. Or both... I don't even know.

He sighed and leaned back on the couch. Mina's eyebrows furrowed with worry as she glanced at the girl then back at Jaehyun. 

Mina: We can introduce her to Haechan and Iseul.

Jaehyun: Iseul?

Mina: Yeah... why? 

Jaehyun: No... its just random that you brought her up.

Mina: Its not random. Haechan-

She paused for a moment as Jaehyun looked at her confused. 

Mina: Oh... you don't know huh?

Jaehyun: Know what?

Mina: You'll know tomorrow. Or whenever I'll ask him to visit. Actually... Eunbi should decide.

Jaehyun: She might get overwhelmed. 

Mina: Exactly.

Jaehyun: And till then?

Mina: Till then... we'll manage. Somehow. 

Jaehyun: You're so nice, it seems like you're a different person. 

With a roll in her eyes, Mina looked away.

Mina: Be grateful while I'm at it.

Jaehyun: Oh please... I couldn't help but think about it earlier. We would be laughing our asses off if I told you months ago that we would be in this exact moment.

There was a short silence before Mina laughed. A clear, genuine laugh that made Jaehyun look over at her. The smile was whole hearted. No hint of tease or challenge. Guaranteed, a new sight for him.

Mina: Yeah that's ridiculous. 

Jaehyun: I know.

He said while finally tearing his eyes away from her.

Jaehyun: Maybe once we have her settled, we can look into your father's truth. Maybe end it once and for all.

Again, a pause. He looked back at her and saw her smile fade away as she eyed Eunbi.

Mina: Maybe we give up...

She whispered but it was loud enough for him to hear.

Jaehyun: What?

Jaehyun did the mistake of shifting to sit up straight, immediately waking up Eunbi who sat up while rubbing her eye.

Jaehyun: I'm soo sorry-

Eunbi: Its okay...

Jaehyun: You should go back to sleep.

Eunbi: I... I usually can't fall asleep after waking up...

She said softly.

Jaehyun: Alright... uh...

Mina turned to Jaehyun who looked back at her, desperate to fill the silence. Without a word she put on the tv and played a cartoon for the girl who seemed to be immediately fascinated. 

Mina instead, stood up and head to the kitchen. After making sure, Eunbi was comfortable with a blanket wrapped around her, Jaehyun joined the elder female.

She silently washed the dishes as he just waited.

Mina: What is it?

Jaehyun: You know what I want to ask.

He said while dropping his voice to a low whisper as he stepped closer to her. There was no answer from her as she just continued to wash the dishes. He pinched her sweater sleeve and tugged on it.

Jaehyun: Mina.

she shut off the tap and sighed while leaning on the counter. Jaehyun just watched as she suddenly moved to wipe her hands dry before grabbing her phone and scrolling on it. He was about to ask for an explanation again before she pushed the phone into his hands. 

Still confused he looked down to see a vary of numbers sending numerous threats, warning her against the truth. 

He couldn't help it as his grip on the phone tightened before he looked down at her. 

Jaehyun: You've been getting this for months. 

She nodded.

Jaehyun: The break in was because of this?

She again nodded as she refused to meet his eyes.

Jaehyun: Why didn't you tell me?

Mina: I just thought it was a prank.

Jaehyun: They broke into your house and turned the shit upside down. You knew it was no prank. And it happened before I left. You could have told me.

Mina: What would you have done different?

She said, still looking away. He understood that she already did what he would have done. Of course she did, she is not stupid.

Jaehyun: Where did Haechan track the number to?

Mina: Somewhere in the ocean. It always shifts between the oceans. Last one was in the Pacific. before that Indian ocean. And before that the Arctic... it keeps rotating between them. 

Jaehyun: So we don't know who is actively trying to kill you and Haechan?

She just clicked her tongue to indicate no. He sighed this time as well before leaning on the counter next to her while returning her phone. 

Jaehyun: So we just stop?

Mina: Eunbi is here. So yes. We stop for now.
