The three students turned their heads towards the grown ups. The curse's calm looked allowed them to rest for a while.

- I have a mission for you !! Gojo shouted, an amused smile on his face.

The groupe approached them to know exactly what it was about.

- A second grade curse bas been seen around an abandonned mail, the man explained. He attacked innocent people who walked there. I've got few informations, si I don't really know if other curses live with this one. You have to kill it, in order to protect the people living around this area. I'm sending Amaya with you, she will help you take care of it.

Yuji and Nobara nodded, while Megumi stayed quiet, still doubting their new ally.

The white-haired exorcist, not having much more to say, drove them there. A creepy aura came off the building, but the group was already used to it. They calmly approached as a curtain appeared behind them, created by Gojo who stayed away.

The old corridors were surrounded by broken classes, and old papers were shattered on the floor, announcing the mall's closing. Dust flew on the ground, while old spider webs gave a slightly creepy look to the place.

Megumi summoned one of his dogs, letting him find the curse.

The perimeter was vast, which made the researches less easy.

Amaya looked around her, thoughts invading her mind. She tried to maintain a minimum amount of energy around her, in case the curse attacked.

After a few minutes, something came off the dark, at the end of the corridor. It instantly jumped towards the exorcists, who dodged it quickly.

The enemy came back and tried to get its sharp claws against Megumi's back, trying to surprise him.

Amaya did'nt move, looking at this fight with annoyed eyes. She managed to grab the creature's shoulder. This simple touch made it shiver in fear. The purple-eyed lady sighed.

- Let's make your job easy, she said in a lowered tone.

The frightened curse tried to get away, but one of Nobara's needles it it, making it quickly disappear.

A smile appeared on the teen's lips. Amaya sighed, and learned against the wall.

- As Gojo promised, it was easy... she calmly said. Well, it gave me an occasion to go out, instead of walking through your college...

Yuji laughed, making the woman look at him.

- It would've been much longer without you ! he said with a smile. With a special grade like you, everything is easier. You must have fought for a lot of years...

She sighed.

- I'm not that old ! she protested.

The boy chuckled as he looked into her annoyed eyes.

- Don't worry, I know you're not a thousand years old... he declared.

Amaya sighed.

- Well... I am, she admitted.

Everyone stopped talking for a bit.

- Wait, really ?! Nobara asked in a shocked tone. You look much younger...

- Does it mean you knew Sukuna at the time he still had vis power ? Yuji questioned.

A proud look came on her face.

- I met him, and talked to him as soon as he seemed in a good mood... she explained. I was a human at the time, he could've killed me but... Instead, he became my best friend...

Nobody dared talking. The three teenagers were just waiting, knowing nothing about how to react to such a story. Sukuna didn't show himself, as if these old memories weren't much for him now.

- Come here, the mission's done, let's get back to the college ! Amaya finally said in a more enthusiastic tone. Gojo must be waiting for us outside !

The four people went back, looking forward to getting out of here. However, some objets fell, which entailed a loud crash into a store's old window.

The group stopped, avoiding breathing to be as prudent as possible.

- We're not alone here... Megumi whispered in an anxious voice.

- I doubt a normal human would walk here... Yuji added.

- We didn't have much information, do you think another curse is hiding here ? Nobara asked silently.

- There's only one way to know ! Amaya said as she began walking towards the store, trying to avoid any noise.

She entered the store by an old broken door, and disappeared in the shadows.
