Maya Jackson
I'm highly stressed. I cannot do this much longer, that asshole thinks he can rule over everyone and everything and I'm so fucking done.
Tim was following me out of the station, I was shaking as I walked to our car.
"Maya. I need you to calm down and talk to me." He grabbed my arm before I could open the car door.
It was a cold night. I had cold chills up and down my body, but where Tim had his hand on me it felt so warm.
"Tim I can't do this right now. I need to go home." I muttered quietly.
It felt like the walls around me were breaking. I was hurt and scared. Something I wish I wouldn't have to feel again.
Tim went to speak but got cut off when a shot echoed through the air.
I immediately grabbed my gun and ran to hide behind a car. I looked around but couldn't see anyone, until I looked up and saw a dark shadow on one of the rooftops.
"What the fuck!" Tim shouted as he ran to hide beside me.
Shots continued to ring out. I only fired one shot, knowing it wouldn't be able to reach him all the way up there.
"What do we do?!!" I shouted back.
The car in front of us was moving as the bullets hit it. I heard grey coming outside to see what was going on.
"Grey get back inside!!!" I shouted as loud as I could.
All three of us knew that Aaron Hugo's was the one up on the rooftop, or someone working for him.
A shot rang out from the building behind us and I noticed the guy who was shooting at us hit the ground.
We got out from behind the car, slowly taking in our surroundings. There was no one else out here luckily, meaning no one who could've gotten hurt.
"I just want to go home. I'm so done with this shit." I muttered as I put my gun back in its holster.
I looked at my car, noticing all the bullet holes in it. I knew it was best if I were to just get a ride, if I tried this one it might explode.
"Grey can you give us a ride home please?" I made eye contact with him. I could see the pain in his eyes, the ones you typically see in movies.
"Of course Maya." He gave me a half smile.
The wind started to blow again, leaving goosebumps all across my body. I was still in my uniform, yet it still feels as though I'm freezing. My bones ached, my heart felt heavy in my chest. Nothing felt right anymore.
Grey drove us home. I sat in the backseat stuck in my thoughts, no longer paying attention to my surroundings.
we stopped in the driveway of my house, where the cops were still standing guard.
I got out of the car without saying a word, and walked up to my front door. I unlocked the door and just stood there for a few moments. I walked inside, waiting for Tim to come in.
I took off my shoes at the doorway and walked into my bedroom.
